    dawrf with bstard swords is like making a dex based wf that uses only daggers if your dead set on them it's easy enough to build but dwarfs get axe damage and to hit bonuses and dwarven axes for free it's just a waste to use an exotic prof on something unless you want every bit of damage you can get then a khopesh would beat it out just a little.

    Default WF ranger monk cleric

    32pt build D/W khopeshes. Tempest. Splash of monk? Healing/buff/nukeing of cleric. Doesnt have to be wf any race ok. Use your amagination. Would lile fairly good dps if reachable.

    So that's an 8, not a 9... Whoops.

    Either way, I don't need my caster to be unique, I just don't want to gimp the hell out of it. I can work uniqueness into the build all I want later as suits my taste :P

    Just sneak attack, evasion, and UMD
    Is the rogue splash not worth it?

    I'm simply looking for a viable TWF build using the Bastard swords on a halfling.

    Aside from the novelty of the little folk swinging weapons as big as they are, I think dual wielding bastard swords would be pretty good... not as good as khopesh, but I bet I'd be able to find weapons easier while still dealing out respectable damage
    I'm open to different class mixes and suggestions.

    If I stayed pure fighter, I'm thinking something kinda like this:

    Default A request

    Sig,

    I didn't see it on your list but we are looking for a 28point Bard who can splash Rogue to do traps/open chests as our party currently has no Rogues. If it will help we will likely have a Wizard so we could maybe rely on his spells for something but I would prefer if we can do all (or most) of the traps/chests with this character and not rely on a second character (wizard/etc)...

    I am hoping that between Bard-14/Rogue-2 we can do this and maybe fit in UMD also... Unfortunately we don't have drow or 32 point unlocked yet so use which remaining 28 point race you think best (but please say why)...

    FYI, it it helps, we have the following 28 point builds planned in the party:

    • 28pt PaladinPaladin-16 (human); Player is a DPS'er by nature but we may try to make him our tank if need be;
    • Battle Cleric -15/Barbarian-1; (me) Healer if/as needed and intimi-Tank/off-DPS; Originally the pally and this Character were Duo'ing but then some more freinds wanted to come...
    • "Magic-User-16 (Likely a Wizard or maybe a Sorcerer - not sure yet);
    • Bard-16 (but wanting to see if we can do Bard-14/Rogue-2)...
    • TBD (haven't heard back from this buddy yet what he wants to play)...

    If we can't make a Bard-14/Rogue-2 work, and our 5th buddy doesn't go Rogue or Splash Rogue, then I may try to switch to a Cleric-14/Rogue-2 so that would be my next request...

    tough build and i think a drow dex build with rapiers would fit abit better left out points for 2 toughness you have to farm for a +3 tome to get greater twf at 18

    12 cleric 6 ranger 2 monk would be a decent mix for lvl 20 with a 30 str and divine power as a spell you should have no trouble hitting and if you do you have human versatility to add +4 to hit damage saves or ac.

    well with the new prestige enhancments comming out i'd only take 2 lvls of rogue the reason i asked if you wanted rogue skills is because the stats would have to be different.

    That being said you need a decent dex for twf to take the feats and your reflex should be good enough for the evasion but the ac is what will be lacking and aslong as you know that and play the build that way you'll be fine.

    I could rebuild it with the dragonmarks for some great selfhealing if you wanted

    • 28pt PaladinPaladin-16 (human); Player is a DPS'er by nature but we may try to make him our tank if need be;
    • Battle Cleric -15/Barbarian-1; (me) Healer if/as needed and intimi-Tank/off-DPS; Originally the pally and this Character were Duo'ing but then some more freinds wanted to come...
    • "Magic-User-16 (Likely a Wizard or maybe a Sorcerer - not sure yet);
    • Bard-16 (but wanting to see if we can do Bard-14/Rogue-2)...
    • TBD (haven't heard back from this buddy yet what he wants to play)...

    If we can't make a Bard-14/Rogue-2 work, and our 5th buddy doesn't go Rogue or Splash Rogue, then I may try to switch to a Cleric-14/Rogue-2 so that would be my next request...

    i went human because it allows for easy stat use easier healing an extra feat an extra skillpoint per lvl and human versatility boost so you can get +5 to all skills when needed.

    This is not a powergamer build it's a build to play in you team to make it optimal it would need alot of changes but this build should work very well in your group.

    That being said you need a decent dex for twf to take the feats and your reflex should be good enough for the evasion but the ac is what will be lacking and aslong as you know that and play the build that way you'll be fine.

    I could rebuild it with the dragonmarks for some great selfhealing if you wanted
    I thought about the lack of AC as well... I'm open to swapping out rouge and sneak attack for more AC. I could multi monk and/or pally instead. Maybe something like this?

    Talking GIMP healing/casting ranger

    Hi I have been wanting to make the ultimate GIMP healing/casting ranger for the longest time just for fun and having something diferent. I was thinking of adding the healing marks as well. Would like to have maybe ranged combat as well but that my second priority(or any melee combat). I am open to suggestions and very excited.
    Thanks
