So I was playing around in character builder trying out some things see any glaring errors I went ahead and took least dragonmark to help thru to the time when wands spells can be used (ps cure wands never seem to be on the AH on my server i look all the time o.O)

the only major problem is that you have to wait alot longer to get tempest and improved crits and you miss out on toughness of 19 hp+20 from enhancments
Wands can be bought from vendors light and moderate are sold at the wand vendor in the rusty nail.
Serious wands can be bought in house J or P where they sell scrolls.
I mean you can take the dragonmark but it's only going to give you 3 uses of cure light wounds waste of a feat in my opinion unless you were going for the whole chain.
If you're still doing this actively, feel free to take a stab at my request.

multi-class. i was thinking a cleric. bard, or pally. but pally would need a lot lvls to be healer. i see in forums bards are good with rogues multi taking ect. but was thinking of cleric 2-4 lvls rest all rogue
what do you guys think?
oh and this first character too. rogue lvl 2 so far. and loving the game.
I have a request!
Warforged
Monk
Quarterstaff
Stealthy
Tactics Oriented (Trip, stunning Blow, etc)
My Videos Shadow Mage (ok, it's a build now)
A forum post should be like a skirt - long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.
Britches and Hose kidnapped my dog and are forcing him to farm Shroud ingredients.

Change Race, add more Monk levels to the class split, and take tactics feats instead of THF feats. Awesome build and the DPS will surprise you.
14 pally 2 monk, good ac and good TWF dps, at least a 20 str by lvl 10, i have NO tomes what so ever, so only include favor tome, and i dont really run favor so get at lvl 15 at lowest. I know that you aren't used to working with no tomes, but give it a try I would like to have extra AP for the enchanements that give extra damage...especially the one that would come at 18
This is not an optimal build any longtime ddo player would normally play but it's a good solid solo build for a new player and it's cheap to run with the cleric levels.
To get the dragonmarks you have to complete a quest Lokiani or some such name in the harbor near the auctioneer gives you the quest the entrance is behind her go in read the books and then answer the questions.
The cleric spellpoints plus the halfling dragonmarks will make it easy for you to keep yourself healed.
Plenty of rogue levels allow you to have maxed out rogue skills and good sneak attack damage when not soloing or when mobs don't see you.
2 fighter levels give you 2 feats and a little extra hp/str
any questions feel free to post here or pm me.

this is hard to do without a +2 dex tome if you mean 20 str without items i'd like to go str based for you for more dps anyway i'll show you something and see how it works for you.
i'm hoping by no tomes you mean +2 tomes i'm including +1 dex and thats it
6 ap left over for pally divine might 1 and 2.
Drow with rapiers is on par with other races and khopesh went str based to save the finesse feat and drow melee and claw of vulkor add 2 to hit with df you'll have no trouble.

I just pulled a Para Longbow, rr warforged. Thinking of building my first WF around it and parking him at 8th level.
Any advice? I'm thinking maybe an arcane archer, but wondering if WF is simply not synergetic with ranged combat...?
So, asking for an 8th lvl 32pt WF build. Longbow as prime weapon. OR maybe a Sorc with a feat wasted on LB spec?
Or should I just throw the longbow on the AH?
i wouldn't really build a char around just a para longbow it is a nice weapon but then you say you want to park it at 8?
Is that just to help people level through the midlevels?
Wf isn't a bad race to make a ranged char especially if your just going to 8 if you were going above that ofcourse elf would be better with higher dex and enhancments for it but staying at 8 wf is fine.
I can build you something easily just let me know.
My thinking is:
1) I get the most bang out of the 8th lvl rr by parking at 8th
2) helping out the midlevels, which seem shortshifted these days
3) learning the ins and outs of the WF, because leveling outpaces my learning curve, and I'll end up clueless at cap or wishing I could reroll.
Yes please, I would greatly appreciate it.I can build you something easily just let me know.
/edit - I'm ignorant, but thinking Arcane Archer. Or even a Sorc or Bard if you think I can get away with wasting a feat for LB prof

I'm not a fan of multi-classing. I know that multi-classing a rogue might be better suited for what I want to accomplish but I always have the most fun with pure-classes. My ranger is pure, my cleric is pure, and my barbarian is pure.
I would like a pure-rogue that focuses on 3 main things:
Drow-Rogue (I don't have 32 point builds opened, I prefer Drow race)
1: Sneak Attack damage (Primary focus)
2: AC, Hp, Survivability (Ability to tank and/or off-tank to a reasonable degree)
3: Rogue-skills (DD, OL, Search)
You may use 1 +1 tome at any level (I Can afford 1 tome) and you can use a +2 tome at level 12+ as I'll have the favor for that tome. You can then use +1 tome's on the rest of the stats by level 16.
I don't care if he's TWF or S&B as long as he's able to perform at a reasonable level at 16 and eventually 20.
I've always loved rogues in D&D but I cannot figure out how to spec a rogue properly to be able to focus on those 3 things. I know as a rogue I'm going to get aggro so I don't want to be hit 75% of the time nor do I want to die in 1 hit.
Thanks in advance
I want to achieve a better swim skill. I am not very good at swimming for the Horn of Endurance in The Crucible. I seem to always hit the spikes and get killed. Even with evasion it doesn’t seem to help. I feel if I could get in there with a higher Swim skill, I would have a chance to learn the swim. I also want a high swim so I can get around the Vale faster and feel a high swim would be good in other quests like the Tomb of the Shadow Lord, which is one of my favorite quests.
I am thinking that I should go Barbarian mostly for strength when raging, and Barbarian Swim enhancements. But what class should I splash? Splash Wiz for extended Merfolk’s blessing or splash Bard for Focus Chant, or Fighter for the STR enhancement? How do I mix this up for the best total Swim?
I am pretty sure I will go Human for the Skill Boost Enhancement. (If Half-Orc was available I would do that.) But I am open to suggestions on race.
Items: I have a pair of Boots of Swim 15, but it’s RR Elf. I run The Shroud almost every day on my three capped clerics, so I can build a tier 3 STR skills item. What other items can I add to increase STR or Swim?
Best for last: During Festivult I received a +4 STR tome, unbound, from the Jester. I must have been a good boy!! I am really excited to use this tome for my first Barbarian toon, and I knew that will really boost my swim.
The final question is: what is the maximum achievable Swim after Mod 9?
Thanks for help with this build!
