There's a number of Arcane Warrior-ish builds out there. Something like Warforged ftr 6 / sorc 12 is a solid option, IMO: Kensei for DPS, Stalwart D for added survivability, buffs & Repairs from sorc lvls (inc. Reconstruct), etc. Bladeforged works even better, but I'm inferring you want an HTR not an ITR life since you already have all your BF PLs.

OK. I will look through those and see if I can piece things together.

OK. so I went through those links and tried to find anything remotely with Sorcerers and I am not sure how to plug anything in with Sorc. I cannot find anything on a rgr/mnk/sorc build either. I am dont know what stats I need, feats, enhancements, etc to mix to create this build. Any help is appreciated.

Okay let's try this: greataxe Kensei with a sorc PL. Only planned to level 19 since it's an HTR-only build so 20 doesn't matter.

Arty splash is for trap skills, W&S Mastery, and access to Repair wands @ lvl 1. Adamantine Body has 35% ASF; so @ lvl 16 I invest in -25% ASF (15% WF 10% EK), last 10% comes from blue augment. Until then you stick to wands or spells w/out somatic component (e.g., Displacement).

    Default Solo Wizard Build

Hello I'm newly coming back to the game after years and I'm looking for a build for a 28pt Wizard, mostly solo play, Human or Drow would be fine. Thank you for the help.

    Default SDK Acrobat

Someone asked for an updated pure Acrobat build, so here it is. Not much has really changed, other than the revisions to tome progression means you can start with lower STR than before. Also it's a good idea to have Improved Feint, particularly on a build so dependent on both AoE and sneak attacks.
    Code:
    SDK Acrobat (U38)
    Rogue 20
    True Neutral Shadar-kai

Tomes: the only one required is +5 STR for feat pre-reqs. The INT tome is for extra skill pts and a higher bonus from Know the Angles; if yours is smaller, reduce skill(s) accordingly (nooo not mah Swim). The rest are just for bragging rights.

In the *ahem* unlikely event you don't have 11 extra racial APs to spare, you can drop them from either SDK, Assassin, and/or Harper to make up the difference. Nothing is particularly required from any of those trees.

Apart from Dreadnought, this build would also work fine in Divine Crusader or Shadowdancer (particularly after the Melee Power boost it just got).

Default Looing for a Monk Tank

We three have been through a Pally/Cleric/Rogue(me) trio, a Fighter/Rogue/Druid(me, Gingerspyce's tanky healer build) trio, and are now ready to do another run through with Warlock, healer, tank. I've been assigned the tanking portion and actually find sword and board rather boring. Is a shintao monk tank still a viable option? I see Syncletica's build out there but am not sure how much has changed in the last 18 months and have no experience with monks yet. I do have a level 12 monkcher based on Syn's bow builds but I pretty well ignore melee combat on that character, so it's time to try to do it right. I'd probably prefer H2H over sticks, but figure I'd end up with the third core of ninja anyway for dex to damage and the the incorporeal so short swords might be viable. Human is preferred but not required. I have decent non raid gear, and 350 cannith so I can adapt to gearing as needed. Only one past life, rogue, all epic destinies done. Tomes: Str5, Dex6, Con7, Int3, Wis2, Cha2

Separately I noted the Favored Soul with a rogue splash, and our third had mentioned he might like to try FvS as the healer w rogue for trapping. Another possibility would be a bard healer with 2 levels of rogue for trapping. So, the request is a tanky monk who can handle up to LE but doesn't expect to raid. And the secondary request if any are handy is links to a healy FVS or Bard with a rogue splash. The healer to be will probably do it his way, but those would be a good starting point.

    Thank you!

I don't know how well it does at tanking but start here: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...nk-build-guide

Unfortunately, the devs just nerfed monks, reducing their Melee Power quite a bit. But otherwise that thread should have all you need for a pure Shintao (unarmed) build.

    Hi Unbongwah!

I've been using your Mechassin build as a guide for my character. I've really enjoyed it and my halfling is on her way to level four. I lucked out on my drops and managed to get a great crossbow with keen. She decimates everything. *evil laugh*

Now, I'm a free to play players so my rogue was limited to a 28 pt build. No biggie. But, being free to play also means I have no access to the Harper enhancement tree. So, I was wondering what alternative path choices will be good for a Mechassin? In other words, how can your cool build be fiddled with to work well for a brand spankin' new player?

    Thanks for your time!

P.S. Love your creative builds. So many different characters!

IIRC, you can't UMD Insightful Damage scrolls; or rather you can, but it only applies to your mainhand and since that's where you have to equip the scroll, it's useless to do so. So without Harper, there's no other way of getting INT to damage with 1H melee weapons on a pure rogue. Fortunately, you'd still have high base DEX anyway for your ranged feats, if nothing else, so DEX to damage from Assassin cores is a reasonable backup.

Also the silver lining to no Harper is you can afford the 41 Assassin / 31 Mechanic / 3 Acrobat AP split I mention in my thread.

That said, you would be better off sticking with a regular pure Mechanic (or Assassin) on a halfling rogue, IMO. The Mechassin was always a flavor build, but losing the human bonus feat makes it even tougher to pull off.

Having said that, if you still want to give it a go - well, I respect the crazy, so here's what I would do.

Rather than INT-primary DEX-secondary, I reversed the key stats, since (A) I still see this as primarily a melee build in the long run, so without Harper I focus on DEX to damage for melee and (B) it's more F2P/newbie-friendly since you don't need any tomes this way.

Although as with the original Mechassin, I recommend focusing on great xbows for early leveling. Naturally if you wish to melee first, you need to tweak Enhancements and possibly feat order (take TWF sooner). In the long run, I'd use a keen repeater, such as Fatal Flaw or the new Stormreach Guardian. These become 17-20/x3 with Expert Builder.

    Default You are the best!

    Thank you!

    well, I respect the crazy
Hey, that's where the fun is!

On a more serious note, I strongly believe in flexibility in a questing character. The build looks beautiful and I cannot wait to try it out.

    Peace, love, and dolphins.

Default Show Cobbles a ___2nd life shuriken reaper capable build___

The end of Spring 2018 semester is near as it is finals week, and I'm thinking of bringing back the "Shoe Cobbles a ________" series on DDOstream. So, I'd like to make a fun build that people will want to see. I've been watching other high end streamers and joining them as a lousy piking PuG mostly, and have some ideas of what might be fun.

So, what I'm looking for is a current shuriken thrower build for a second life character. I'll need ideas not only for the build itself, but an idea of what gear is good at what levels. I want to be able to solo R5 on most content with it, and expect to do a bit of gear farming before I start. I have heard that I want to have some monk to be able to throw extra stars and max out doubleshot, alacrity, etc. I've also been told that things that hamstring, paralyze, or slow are very good.

So, I'm looking to community help on this build - Thanks!!!

    Default Zen archer

    Hello everyone!
I need a build that is a Zen archer but I need it to have more level in ranger than monk and if it can fit I could use some rogue skill.

    I have +7 tomes and I 36 point

It must not be an iconic!

Thanks you for the ideas in advance!

Are you just looking for a rogue past-life or do you really want a majority-rogue build? Is something like rogue 8 / monk 6 / ranger 6 good enough or were you thinking something else like rogue 13 / monk 6?

    Default Longsword Monk

    Hi All,

I played a lot of DDO... a long time ago. Before Underdark, anyways. My favorite character then was a dual-wielding elven longsword monk - a combination of elven longsword abilities, ranger (to level 6) longsword abilities, monk abilities (to level 10) mixed with 1 level of rogue and a lot of ninja backstabby stealthy stuff. And of course the feat that lets monks use longswords. Logged in today to have a look around and I'd really like to play him again... but I have no idea what to do with all these newfangled Enhancements.

I like to be able to play a bit of downlevel solo on the side, for which monk self-heal and the stealth always _used_ to be useful.

Any suggestions? I tried searching the forums, but the only longsword monk stuff I turned up was ancient.

    Thanks,

    Orrowan

That is because longsword monks have been obsolete for years now, at least since the Update 19 Enhancement overhaul. Whirling Steel Strike feat is still around, but now any melee weapon can become a ki weapon if you play a monk / fighter who takes the One with the Blade enhancement from the Kensei tree. Closest build to what you describe that I can think of is...hmm, probably Santa's Little Slayer which used rapiers. And even that build is obsolete though you should be able to dust it off and reuse it now.

Ah well; thanks for the info. I'll just hash something together and see if I can remember how to play; if I stick with it long enough I can always TR and research a proper build from there.

I misswrote i need more levels in ranger!

I need only for past life but I d like it to be pretty performing while leveling and in epic too not interested in high skull reaper and stuff....

I was thinking something like 11 ranger for full free feats 6 monk maybe 7 for Zen archery and 2 or 3 rogue but I didn't check for the actual bab prerequisite and stuff...

    Thank you for answering
