"You have +2 to your Concentration skill, deal increased unarmed damage (+0.5W), and can enter an evasive trance once per rest, granting the evasion feat for a short period of time (20 seconds)."

20 seconds of Evasion once per shrine is not exactly what I consider useful.

Possibly a dumb question, but: were you actually logged into a character or were accessing the DDO Store from the character select screen? Because the Store won't show you most items (even the BtA ones) until you're actually logged into a character. Otherwise I don't know why the Store won't show you items properly; I'm pretty sure they got rid of the level restrictions on tomes so you should see all of them.

Not a dumb question at all. That was the problem. I didn't know I should be inside the game, I was in the character selection screen. Anyways, I find out just after I post and I am ready for your advice. Which one should I take for each build?

Rune arms add to main hits and on glancing blows, and he wants on-hit and critical as primary goal.

Sun Blades get glancing blows when standing still, have on-hit effects, and can be swashbuckled. In addition, they have strong on hit, on vorpal, and on-critical effects, including blind for synergy with sneak attack from rogue levels and enhancements.

Swashbuckling Exploit Weakness increments when you hit and do not crit. Glancing blows hit but do not crit.

If one goes bard 15, arti 2, rogue 3, one can pick up glancing blow effects from thief acrobat. Added to Fury of the Wild glancing blow effects, adrenaline extra crit range, and a high vorpal rate from SWF, and the screen will fill with beautiful explosions. Add in Toven's hammer, and lightning will fill the sky as well.

Of course, since you will be standing in the middle of it all, you are going to be about as blind as everything else around you... here are some on-hit glory items:

    See: http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Celesti...st_Star_of_Day or http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Echo_of_the_Sunsword

I just need level 7 (well really level 8) Bard Swash Buckler as I spam TR with the XP stones I still have. I have supreme tome +7 on this character and +1 racial tome, access to knife fighter and harper and I prefer elves.

I prefer a S&B, but I can go for a THW if advised.
I want a S&B for the shield bash passive secondary attack.

    Comments:
    • +5 CON tome is for Epic Toughness feat. Both Toughness and eToughness can be dropped; I've listed a few alternate feat choices.
    • Normally I advocate leveling as 2H fighter until about level 12, then switching to Vanguard; but I planned the Enhancements like it would play S&B from level 1. This meant backloading Stalwart Defender to focus on DPS, though.
    • Bastard swords and dwarven axes get glancing blows when single-wielded (i.e., S&B or SWF); hence why I have both THF (extra glancing blows) and Shield Mastery (extra doublestrike & PRR) feat chains. I went with b.swords instead of d.axes because (A) there are more and better named options, IMO (esp. Spinal Tap if you can acquire it early on), and (B) w/out +1 crit range bonus from Keen Edge, b.swords have a better crit threat range (17-20/x3 vs 19-20/x4 for d.axes).
    • Combat is about what you would expect: Cleave thru trash mobs; use Stunning Shield / Blow judiciously; Intim as necessary; rinse, repeat. Oh yeah, and don't get killed, obviously.
    • According to the wiki page, fighter Vanguard Shield Rush is still bugged, so you might decide to drop it when you get there. You can replace it with Shield Charge, Myrmidon's Edge, or whatever.
    • I don't usually bother with Combat Expertise in heroics, hence why I wait until lvl 20 to take it. And even in epics, I use it more for the extra PRR from Imp CE not the AC. You could tweak feat order a bit to add CE sooner; or to add Improved Trip somewhere as well.

Build that goes from level 1 to level 8, which I would use stone to get myself to level 20 and TR again.

Just as a note: from personal experience/testing levels 1-8 might average about ~1.4k xp/min while levels 15-20 can easily average ~2.6k xp/min; which would suggest that your XP stones are better spent getting you to a high level then finishing your XPing then. But... What you requested was a build for 1-8 swashbucker; so that is what you shall get!

    Human Bard 8

Stats: 18 str, 14 dex, 10 con, 8 int, 8 wis, 12 cha (levelups in str)

    Skills: Perform, Jump, Balance, Swim

Feats: Power attack, Cleave, Greatcleave, Single Weapon Fighting

    Spells:
1: Sonic blast, Cure light, Focusing Chant
    2: Cure Moderate, Heroism, Blurr
    3: Cure Serious, Displacement

    Enhancements: (32 AP)

    Human:
    Cores: Damage Boost

    Swashbuckler:
    Cores: x3
Tier 1: On your toes x1, Tavern Shanties x3
Tier 2: En Point x3, Deflect Arrows
Tier 3: Dashing Scoundrel, Resonant Arms x3
Tier 4: Slap in the Face

    Warchanter:
    Cores: x3 (skaldic rage)
Tier 1: Rough and Ready x3, The poetic edda x1
    Tier 2: Boast x3, Iced Edges x1

Obviously light armor and single weapon/open hand. Tiefling's is the best weapon but it's a bit of a farm to get. Randomloot rapier is probably second best; especially with vorpal.
Selvera: Aasimar Fighter 20/Epic 10; Old and wise fighter.
Jen: Half Elf Fvs 4; Healer Archer on a TR with friends
Mayve: Drow Bard 14/Wizard 6/Epic 7; Vampire Enchantress

Ok I need a build unbongwah. I saw you had a theorycrafting domain thread up with a build with a HOrc /cleric destruction domain that is close to what I wanted. This is what I want to do, but I'm not sure it all works, or how to puzzle it all together.

I want to make a barbarian / destruction domain cleric to be able to cast cleric spells while raged.

Cleric spell book however is wisdom based, but not a good selection of wisdom to hit/dmg weapons so I want to multiclass with FVS and use the FVS spell book to cast the cleric spells. Does that work?

I think charisma based FVS spell casting, using divine might from warpriest and divine presence from warsoul at the same time? Does that work? If not, fvs 1 for divine will and use cleric spell casting wisdom based I guess.

I want a heroic reaper build that can AoE stun with soundburst, then melee AoE things down, and also self-heal, all while raged. Turn undead-mighty turning enhancement would also be another plus. Sacred spell for +4 turning power at cleric spell level 2 also a plus. Taking advantage of the stun for more helpless damage would be another plus.

UMD heal scrolls with W&S mastery at level 9 would be another plus, but that means charisma based I think?

Would be ok twf with flame blades lvls 3-9, scepter of healing lvl 10-15, and forgotten light 16-20, if there was no way to make str or charisma work with a SoS.

5 barb for T5 in any barb tree is enough barb. Racial past life for any race will work. Dragonborn seems like a good str/char/evo fit, but I'm not sure the AP will work to get it all.

Wait, what? You're coming to me for a build?

    ...is it Bizarro Monday?
I want to make a barbarian / destruction domain cleric to be able to cast cleric spells while raged.
    Okay, that's easy enough.
Cleric spell book however is wisdom based, but not a good selection of wisdom to hit/dmg weapons so I want to multiclass with FVS and use the FVS spell book to cast the cleric spells. Does that work?
I made a test toon (ML Destruction cleric 4 / barb 3 / FvS 8); the "casting spells while Raged" thing only applies to cleric spells. So the answer is "It doesn't."
I think charisma based FVS spell casting, using divine might from warpriest and divine presence from warsoul at the same time? Does that work?
Nope: if I spent points in Warpriest, I couldn't spend any in War Soul; and vice versa.
I want a heroic reaper build that can AoE stun with soundburst, then melee AoE things down, and also self-heal, all while raged.
If you figure that one out, let me know.

Destruction domain lets you scroll heal right?

Ahh your work helps immensely. Need to cleric cast, so wisdom based with cleric levels.
Will just have to use lower offstat strength/offstat divine might with melee THF.
Rogue splash for UMD/evasion/trapping/sneak die on helpless.

Final build is 5 barb 2 rogue 3 cleric. Wisdom based, THF cleaving with a SoS. THFx3, IC:S, PA-GC

I dislike multi-stat needs, but I don't see alternative I like better. It's not nearly as good a 'flow' as the pali build I just played, but it does have trapping so can lower the reaper level and still get the same xp.

Not wholly satisfied yet, but closer.

I have a level 17 fighter (pure) human. he was one of my first toons in 2006 and he is somewhat gimped now. I'm going to res him and was wondering what a current human fighter build looks like. what stats do i put points into. currently he is twf/oversized with kopeshes and slashing feats. I know i have to get him to 20 to res him from reading here on the forums. just want to build a decent toon that can contribute in groups and not be a drain on the cleric. any help/suggestions are much appreciated. thanks

~14 all starting stats, based on tomes for TWF feats, lawful good

Centered Kensai 12 fighter, 6 monk, 2 arti would work. Need 8 fighter levels and greater weapon focus to center with khopesh at level 12. Start with 1 arti at lvl 1 for skills/umd. Add 3 monk in before 12. Grab a skill focus: UMD feat.

Add 3 more monk 13-15, and take master monk stances at 15 to unlock fire stance tier 3 for more crit multiplier.

Then finish off with 1 more arti and 4 more fighter.

I would lay out feats and level order, but I'm guessing you will have so many extra bonus feats you can take whatever you want and still have leftovers.

AP Kensai Tier 5 to center with khopesh, Arcano-technician for W&S mastery, some stalwart, henshin, and shintao. Some ninja spy for ethereal at later levels.

Craft a 20/40/60 healing amp GS kama to swap in as a set with heal scrolls.

Minor correction: One with Blade no longer requires Greater Weapon Focus feat; so technically you only need 5 ftr lvls to take tier-5 Kensei. But you need ftr 6 for Strike w/No Thought; and Gtr Weapon Focus is still a pre-req for tier-4 Weapon Specialization + Weapon Master, which is +5 damage total. So if you're going to ftr 12 for Weapon Surge, you might as well pick the rest of it up.

    Default Melee Artificer

I'm looking for a melee SWF artificer build. Can be pure or MCed but mostly Artificer for the past life. This will be life 11 for this character and has +7 tomes. Race does not matter but would like to do decent damage with some durability. i am VIP and have all classes, races, trees unlocked.

    https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...elee-Artificer <<< Classic

    Option Tilo:

2 Druid, 2 Ranger, 16 Artificer - dragonborn, levels in Int

    16 Str 13 Dex, 14 Con 14 Int 14 Wis 14 Charisma starting stats

1 Druid - Single Weapon Fighting (Balance 2), blue dragon heritage
    2 Druid - Wolf Form
    3 Ranger Maximize
    4 Ranger Free: TWF
    5-6 Arti Empower
    7-8 Arti Quicken
    9-11 Arti Improved TWF,
    12-14 Arti Improved SWF, IC:B
    15 Arti Greater TWF
    16 Arti Empower Healing
    17-18 Arti Greater SWF
    19-20 Arti Enlarge spell

Put more or less all your AP in the AT/dragonborn trees, since BE is weak for melee dps. A few points in seasons herald for lighting spell power/crit, 1 AP in DWS core 1
