    Default Finnessed battlemage?

It's looking like I'll unlock 32pt builds about the same time as monks become available. As long as everyone is leveling their monks, I'd like to go ahead and level a second character.

My halfling spellsinger has been a lot of fun. I've tried building other classes, but they just seem kind of inflexible by comparison. I'm finding, though, that I'd like to try something with a little more damage output. I tried a battle cleric, but found that I hate playing a dwarf. Ideally, I'd like to be able to bounce around the battlefield, beating up (and kiting if necessary) whomever the tanks aren't working on, but I'd also like enough support abilities that I'm not just a right-click demon. I thought of building a drow finessed spellsinger with two levels of ranger, but I'd also like stoneskin and elemental resists if possible.

I've seen some cool builds where warforged take an even split between arcane and warrior. They forsake armor class in favor of self-cast stoneskin and displacement, and they run around with a great big axe or sword, unloading arcane magic and hitting people over the head. I'm tempted to try something similar, except as a finessed halfling or drow.

Here's what I'll be working with:
    32pt available
I have a +1 int tome in the bank
I'll be financing this character with a raid-ready spellsinger
I have a small collection of lowbie elemental weapons

    Here are my requirements:
    Decent support abilities
Mobility (the ability to run and jump around, not the feat)
The ability to hit stuff and not have it laugh
    No dwarves

    Here are my non-essential preferences:
    Halfling
    Stoneskin
    Elemental resistance spells
    High UMD

Thanks for any ideas you have.

I'd like a tank with improved evasion. That's right, a primarily rogue tank.
And a million dollars and a pony while we're at it.

    Have access to 32 pts.
High AC, Diplo, Intimidate, and UMD are priorities.
Secondarily I'd like balance and mobility skills, so I can get where I'm needed, and good tactics (trip/stunning blow) so I can make life difficult when I get there.
Strength based damage, sneak attack as a reward for when the control skills/tactics work right. Sword and board is right up my alley, just hoping we get shield crafting next mod.
Trap/Lock -smithing is not a priority at all.

Would also prefer true neutral to reduce alignment-based damage. Seem to remember something about "smite good" showing up in later content, in addition to chaos hammer and order's wrath, unholy blight, etc.

I'm assuming access to a +2 int tome at first level, grinding vale for one now. Also any +1 tomes necessary.

Your thread is looking good Sig. I like the link section up front too.

Anyway... with all the monk hoopla, I figure I'll need a new toon to run with all the maniacs running monks, but I don't really want a monk right now. One thing that I keep thinking might be interesting is another archer though.

    Priorities:
    1. Be ranged first and formost
    2. High DPS (well... okay, its still ranged, so high DPS for a ranged character.)
    3. Good with power 5 and debuff weapons

Other: my most recent character is a warchanter/TWF, so I'm leaning away from another bard for now. I also find the barb crit range interesting. (These are not binding, just info if there is a tie between a options.)

Thats it. Pretty blank canvas to work on.

Edit: Oh yeah, I have access to drow/32pt. +6 items are okay (try to limit need for ones on rings though.) +1 tomes on any. +2 favor tome and one other.
Edit: If you decide to build this one, shoot me a pm to let me know which forum to look for it in. Thanks.

I look forward to what you dream up and comparing notes with you.

Yea I do like the way he looks, and with the new smite enhancements he has the chance to do some pretty major damage to the big mobs. I'm excited to roll him up and get him leveled...in fact i think I will forego sleep and do that right now.

    Default Dwarf Paladin Axe Build

Hello, I am hoping you can come up with a 28pt dwarven paladin build for me. I am looking more for melee oriented axe build, with a minor in backup healing when the cleric needs help. Please try to spalsh some multiclass for me or possibly dragon marks?

    Default "Interesting" Paladin Build

High AC Paladin. Shadow Mark Elf, Scimitar and Shield, 32 point, Intimidate/CHA focused if possible.

My 28 pt was a TWF 14 Ranger/2Fighter Drow Piercing spec who is quite squishy and doesn't have great AC. I'd really like to do the opposite but have some tricks!

It's a bit of a stretch and it's all over the place but I think it may actually be functional if not that I hope fun

I'm not certain if you can intimidate while using Shadow Walk, but displacement will at least work. If Shadow Walk doesn't work with intimidate can leave off at lesser Shadow Mark.

I'd prefer full plate to breast plate but that's really not leveraging my naturally good Dex so if it turns out to be quite a bit better in a BP then I'll gladly except that.

On the side I'd like max Lay on Hands and both the Undying Court and the other Rez enhancement for Paladins. Will most likely be using a Bodyfeeder Scimitar and be soaking damage.

Preferably I'd like almost pure paladin, no more than 2 levels in anything else.

Let me know if it's not at all possible so I don't try it on my own

    Default The Brutish Warforged

I'd like to hold and survive aggro using the WF brute line (the opposit of rogue subtible backstabing). It give 25% to all attack.
Maybe 6 levels of paladin to get the Divine righteousness.

The goal here is to hold aggro even on mobs who are unaffected by intimidate.
Maybe a high charisma paladin (6 level) with intimidation, and the rest fighter for feats? Or go evasion with 2 rogue levels?
Paladin 6, rogue 2, fighter 8 too crazy?

    Default Classic Thief Acrobat

I was wanting to make a human(28 pnt) , pure rogue, using quarterstaffs, with way of the thief acrobat I & II.

I'm kinda looking for a thief with high mobility and steath, with agro management and average dps. Im not too worried about dps, I'd rather have my curve low and do consistant damage than pulling aggro off the tanks.

Dodge and mobility seem kinda fun, since I like to flip around ^_^

    any help appreciated ^_^
Q&A is the business of pointing out others' failures. Optimists need not apply.

    Default Drow rogue TWF

    Basically, this is my idea--
a drow rogue/fighter/ranger (12/2/2 i was thinking) or perhaps drow/fighter (12/4) with excellent tumble, diplomacy, spot, search, DD (I would like him to be as close to a trap monkey as possible), and OL; with decent Hide and MS. He doesn't necessarily have to have UMD. As for feats, I think weapon finesse and TWF is the way to go. Finally, I would like him to have the dodge/mobility/spring attack line, as I like the idea of a mobile fighter. Basically, this is a request for as close to an all in one as possible--good dps, good survivability, and the ability to do the majority of roguing, even at the end game. Assume access to one +1 tome (some money in the bank), and most reasonable equipment. Thanks (P.S. if possible I would love to have sap and improved crit. in there)

    Default WF 32point Ftr/Rng/Barb Tempest

Thinkin about goin 1st lvl ftr, 2nd lvl barb, 3-8 lvls rng, then rest barb. Want to get tempest build and OTWF to dual wield scimitars.
I have 32 point build unlocked. I have a +1 Dex tome I can eat when created if needed. I have been looking at the DDo Char Planner and these are the stats I was looking at 16str/14dex/16con/12int/12wis/6cha. These can change but would like to keep str and con as even as possible.
The way I am figuring is that by lvl 8 I will be able to get Tempest enhancement. I am not sure about which alignment is best to use I know it can not be lawful, but dont know which alignment would be best. any avice you can give would be awesome.
Also would like to have atleast 1 lvl of healers friend in there and as my rage enhancements as possible

    Default Battle Bard?

I just want a fun, playable warchanter battle bard who has (minimum requirements): reasonable dps (about the same as a 28-pt, versatile twf ranger) , moderate hp (~300 [at least 250]), self buffing at a minimum, moderate crowd control (enough to make the big fights slightly easier), and possibly UMD (enough to use rez scrolls on a roll of 13 at lvl 16) if you can. I would prefer the given requirements to be made better rather than introducing new skills or abilities (haggle being the one exception). Any race is pausible (execpt for drow) and 32-pt is open. Build should not have rare named loot essential/extremely beneficial, and should be neither reliant on duel weilding green steels nor on using +2/+3 tomes. His name will probably be Seos, or Ravinex if a Warforged.

Default I'd like to request a build

Hello, I'd like to request a build. Thanks for your bit on ddocast, btw, It's enjoyable.

I'm not sure that this is anymore of a challenge than anything you've done before, possibly is a little near the mark. I didn't find what I'm looking for in your current build list, though.

I'm after a VERY sneaky, melee based (no sorc/wiz) assassin. I'm not just after WotA II or even I for that matter. Very sneaky, but not from the hide/move silent end, not wanted to be a shruiken using, squishy. Probably better if no exotic weapons unless you have a really good idea. Doesn't have to have any rogue, but the cheap route to evasion and possibly some traps/locks won't be discouraged either. I'm after kind of a melee version of Ghoste's stuff, as far as sneaking, but want the guy to be able to throw a serious beating if discovered. This would be what I solo with when I more or less don't feel like being in a party. 32 pt build. Race is open. Class is open (mostly) I want to mostly solo, be able to self-heal, have a high jump (hate it when I can't jump). This character is in tribute to my little brother, who has entered the family business and served in the military, and has recently begun to distinguish himself in a specialized unit.

    Thank you for your time.

Default Monk: The Way of the Open Hand (Balanced)

    * Human, 32-pt, Pure Monk
    - Balanced build, with Unarmed Combat focus
    - Secondary focus: caster killer

This character should represent the classic Zen-Balanced monk. Other than the emphasis areas mentioned above, you have total discretion with this build. You've been doing this for quite awhile--I trust your judgment.

You got a lot on your plate...

    ... so here's some more!

It's been tested (not by me, by other people) on the monk forums that the devotion line of enhancements work on the monk's Fist of Light healing finishing move. I'm not exactly sure what level a heal it counts as, but I'm assuming either level 1 or 3. I dunno.

But the only way to capitalize on it really is by putting in cleric levels. But, why not build a cleric and splash monk levels anyway?

And to make it a little more obscene, let's make the character a Dragonmarked halfling as well, and see what kind of healing cleric we can build that doesn't use spell points. =)

    Requirements:

Preferably a 28-point build, but if you feel it needs 32, no problem.

Doesn't necessarily have a focus on fighting - Clericy stuff comes first. The ability to land hits on a mob to generate Ki will be all that's really necessary. I'm not expecting a super high AC here (there are plenty of halfling pure monk builds for that), just an interesting different kind of healer.

Halfling race for the halfling healing dragonmarks. Chances are, there will be some situations where there might not be enough Ki to heal (and building up the Ki would take too long and be dangerous) so we need some support non-SP healing.

Other then that, after the healing bonuses to Fists of Light, take whatever you feel would be most appropriate or effective. (wether that be battle cleric, caster cleric, or pure healer/cleric feats and enhancements)

I'm not entirely expecting a fully end-game viable character, but if it turns out to be decently effective in normal situations and reasonably playable (ie., you don't think you'll just get everyone in a group killed trying something so stupid) then I would consider it a success. If it won't work, then it won't work, and no skin off my bones
