It's looking like I'll unlock 32pt builds about the same time as monks become available. As long as everyone is leveling their monks, I'd like to go ahead and level a second character.
My halfling spellsinger has been a lot of fun. I've tried building other classes, but they just seem kind of inflexible by comparison. I'm finding, though, that I'd like to try something with a little more damage output. I tried a battle cleric, but found that I hate playing a dwarf. Ideally, I'd like to be able to bounce around the battlefield, beating up (and kiting if necessary) whomever the tanks aren't working on, but I'd also like enough support abilities that I'm not just a right-click demon. I thought of building a drow finessed spellsinger with two levels of ranger, but I'd also like stoneskin and elemental resists if possible.
I've seen some cool builds where warforged take an even split between arcane and warrior. They forsake armor class in favor of self-cast stoneskin and displacement, and they run around with a great big axe or sword, unloading arcane magic and hitting people over the head. I'm tempted to try something similar, except as a finessed halfling or drow.
Here's what I'll be working with:
32pt available
I have a +1 int tome in the bank
I'll be financing this character with a raid-ready spellsinger
I have a small collection of lowbie elemental weapons
Here are my requirements:
Decent support abilities
Mobility (the ability to run and jump around, not the feat)
The ability to hit stuff and not have it laugh
No dwarves
Here are my non-essential preferences:
Halfling
Stoneskin
Elemental resistance spells
High UMD
Thanks for any ideas you have.
