"Splashing" simply indicates you take 1 or 2 lvls of a given class to acquire the "low-hanging fruit" of that class, so to speak. E.g., monk 2 splashes are pretty common because that gets you 2 extra feats, Evasion, +3 to all saves, and access to low-tier monk PrE abilities.

Rather than trap skills w/rog splash, I took a ftr splash for extra feat, Haste Boost, and a little extra dmg. I tried to find a compromise between caster DPS (high WIS, light DiDi, Evo DCs), melee DPS (TWF x3, Power Atk, WP), and healing (bursts, Imp Emp Heal). My main concern is I may have spread her too thin, esp. for EEs; I might've been better off with a narrower focus, like dropping DiDi to focus on RS and/or WP. You may have to tweak stats to fit whatever tome(s) you actually have to use. I considered taking the higher-tier monk stances, but feats are already pretty tight; so the plan is to just use basic Ocean stance for +2 WIS & saves or Wind Stance for +doublestrike.
Another option would be cleric 17 / monk 3: you lose a feat & Haste Boost, but gain Fists of Light for a bit more free healing and light buffs (in particular free blur & -25% SP cost).
