I have contacted a GM and gotten a reply in yellow that dinged. What color is it now?

They are a VERY pale green, almost white, hence the confusion with general chat ( which is white text ). Since that change was made, I haven't recived a *ding* for incoming GM messages, and have missed more than a few, as I generally ignore general chat .

Are you people seriously complaining about GM responses. 1 Never had a problem. 2 It does DING just like any tell does, but there are times when it can be unheard. 3 The text is pale green, it does not blend into the white unless you feel that this is also so close to white you almost didn't know the difference. Should they change it, ehh I don't care really I never had a problem seeing, hearing, or getting a GM message. Sorry if any of you have, but maybe it was just bad timing.

For the last Fing time, No, they do not *ding* anymore for me, and I'm guessing by the posts, some others. Don't know if it's my settings, or what; hence me asking Ghoste and Har if they were still getting the *ding* after the color change. All party chat, and private tells *ding*, so I don't know what the difference would be.
Also, if they were the color you put in your text, I wouldn't complain, as it's easy to differentiate. They ARE NOT that color on my screen, and appearently some other's as well. Again, maybe it's our settings, but I never had a problem when GM texts were the same as tell chat, so maybe Turbine should have informed us we needed to change something.

definitely not pale green in my estimation either, more of a pale beige to me. Change it back to yellow plz

Dual 150-watt Studio Monitor speakers and a 200-watt subwoofer say that as of Monday there is no sound effect when a GM sends you a tell. Now you can try and argue that with my speakers, but you're going to have to speak louder than they can.

Again, it used to *ding* when the text was a normal tell (gold colored and such). Now that's its green, there is no sound.

Edit: And just so you know, I was sitting in the Phoenix waiting on the GM, it's not like there was a lot of background noise to drown out the sound. I also recieved a number of regular tells and heard that *ding* loud and clear, even when I was in another room.

Well, that green is the color it is on my screen. So something is up with that.

1. If you don't have a complaint fine but don't give those who do an attitude.
2. It doesn't ding anymore.
3. The text is NOT that color on my screen. On my screen the color is so pale of a green it is almost white. I can run at very high graphics but usually choose medium to low to decrease rendering lag.

All I did was ask for them to make a minor update which would help those with this problem and not affect those who don't - and in response I get people like this posting in the thread with the attitude of "I don't have a problem so why are YOU complaining?".

Just to add, I run on high graphics, so that's not the problem. Still almost white text.

But I run on Very High graphics and don't have the color issue, so maybe it is related to that? Who knows.

Did not mean to sound rude just surprised with all that should be complained about GM responses is being discussed. I guess I am wrong that it does not ding anymore, I thought I have heard them while running around in sorrowdusk and asking for the gargoyle to spawn. The pale green however I use in my text is the exact color I see in my chat box. And I did mean sorry for those who do have problems but alot of the time they sound overly exaggerated from what all my experiences have been like; hence my somewhat stand-offish post. I happen to feel worse for the GM's cause they get a bad rep, more so then the few players who complain loud as hell.

As for the GMs, in *most* cases I feel sorry for them too as I GM for a text-based MUD and know that in a lot of cases, the attitude is undeserved.

In this instance I wasn't trying to give anyone attitude...I don't think anyone is at 'fault'. I was trying to make a request for a minor change that would benefit people (including myself) who have had issues with noticing the GM responses.
