Regarding torches, devs said they wont do it, since light sources are a premium and they wont deal with adding movable sources.

    2. I would like for Turbine to add more content instead of altering old content
    3. New races

    6. Put in 2 raid bosses in future raids(would make the final fight more interesting)

    1. More Tempest-style raids.
    2. A few incredibly challenging quests that can not be three manned (and not due to switches, levers, etc -- due to overwhelming odds against you).
    3. Varying warforged body sizes/types
    4. Proper PnP attack progression (+10/+5/+0, not +10/+15/+20).
    5. Monks
    6. More content at all levels
    7. Gnomes
    8. Sharn
    9. Druids
    10. Even more content

Having played and beta tested a few other MMOs either recently out or coming out, I believe DDO still has the best combat system hands down. There just isn't enough content, or other distractions, to keep people interested. Blow us away with things to do, and the population will grow.

    1. More traps that are deadlier, sneakier, more interesting, and that make you laugh when you see them in action.
    2. Quests that are like Tempest Spine that when completed can affect the playing of all others. Example would be that in a zone that has said quest once completed successfully people maybe get a bonus to hit for a period of time, and if they lose take a minus to hit. Better example, when the Reaver fails people take explosion damage throughout the zones due to the bomb going off, while if they pass maybe Giants throughout the mission have a chance of being stunned due to the mind effect being deflected from them.
    3. Guild Halls with a guild sharing banking system so we can park items that someone could use instead of storing them on our toons.
    4. Add a couple shops to Gianthold such as Potions, Reagants, and weapons/armor repair.
    5. Add another zone similar to Gianthold that deals with a brand new story line. Gianthold was done pretty good IMO.
    6. Create a 6 player and a 12 player Quest of the Elite that can be for all group ranges that basically gives credit to the group that does it in the best time, disarms the mosts traps, etc etc and then these teams are posted somewhere so that everyone can see who the best are. By adding more than one type of winner then it wont be just a zerg contest.
    7. Add more spells to wands thought it may exist I have not seen a wand of jump. Maybe add them for sale somewhere too.
    8. Add one more level of heal potion cure serious is not enough, and if I missed where they sell a cure critical tell me where it is.
    9. Add cursed items into the game, that would always make things interesting.
    10. Make rogues a necessity in some instances.
What do you mean you weren't ready for me to pull, I had Spellpoints???

    1. Artificer
    2. Druid
    3. Monk
    4. Gnome
    5. Chain weapons (Flail) and Reach weapons (Halberd/Longspear)
    6. True trips mechanics (would be needed for above two weapon sets)
    7. Grappling
    8. WEAPON SIZES!
    9. Crafting
    10. Friendly Fire

    - All of the above are core rules (Artificer being an Eberron core (there are awesome races in Eberron besides the warforged that are ignored as well)).

Why are there no weapon sizes? That is a main drawback of small races (only halflings atm). They get +1 TH and +1 AC, but they should be using less damaging weapons. Also Enlarged weapons and weapons from Ogres/Giants loot should randomly be larger and harder to wield.

    - And a word about friendly fire - One of the fun things of PnP DnD is being cautious, slow, and tactical. Being worried about the placement of a fireball or getting an arrow in the back would slow the game down from a click-fest and being more fun. People would think about combat more tactically and enjoy the combat more. This would have to be on a 'new rules' server by itself though. (this would affect monster atacks as well - so it would be tough writing the AI).

    1. crafting pnp style
    2. monks/druids
    3. familiars
    4. harder raids, not due to puzzles, due to the **** load of damage they deal back
    5. quivers (that will actually help not take up all of my inventory)
    6. token raid system
    7. a decent raid range item (not a crossbow :|)
    8. prestige classes
    9. more high lvl content
    10. stop changing existing content, add new content

    1. Guild member list with toons grouped/listed by player (so you can tell whos on and whos on alts)
    2. Guild grouping - like a raid group but with a higher limit, like say 30, for meetings and such, not questing.
    3. Yeah, more tempest spine style raids would be nice.
    4. Yet more weapon sets.
    5. Underwater combat/encounters
    6. More teleport locations (or a more customizable system similar to the actual spell)

All I got atm w/o repeating what others have said (more than I have already)

Wow... I am reading through this and seeing some nice thoughts, but am more struck by things I VERY MUCH do not want to see...

Fly spell - That will completely bone the existing dungeons design. There is an excellent reason it isn't included now. Levitate might be okay.
Trade Skills - Oh god, please no time sink garbage. Crafting makes me nervous enough. Trade skills can go two ways. 1) they can be a massive time sink for almost no disable gain, or they can monty haul, and be over powering to characters who can grind the hell of the game.
A few non instanced outdoor areas - (Egad! completely against the grain of this games design)
Housing - (I know of absolutely no point to this. If Houses were not visible from the street (meaning everyone who had a house entered at a single point) then maybe it wouldn't exactly be a negative. But tracks of empty houses is a very bad thing.
Guild Housing - again, only if it was accessed all from the same instance point.
Horses - Mounts have absolutely no point in this game other than to scream, " I am so uber, look at my cool mount" I think we should allow mounts, and then have any character who buys one perma-killed because it had rabies and bit them. How is that?
Make raid loot bind to account. - You want loot, take that character and go get it. You want to grind for uber loot, then it should suck.

    To some up...

Good = Playability, content, world depth expansion, and interface improvements.
Bad = Grinding, Time Sinks, prestige equipment (not talking about prestige classes.)

    1. Make Noise More Relevant. Have monsters open doors when there is a major battle outside. Spawn a wandering monster ambush when characters in plate mail go zerging through the hallways instead of letting rogues sap the sentry.

    2. Make More Breakables With Specific Vulnerabilities. Doors that require a minimum strength to smash open; Ice floors that can be melted by fireball; Glass windows broken by a bards song; mirrors broken by the gaze of a player with low charisma. And otherwise add more ways to interact with the environment (technology requires a lightning bolt or shocking hands to start).

    3. Evil Player Alignments (along with evil weapons and evil god enhancements plus evil quests)

    4. Druids

    5. Not being able to auto tab hidden or invisible creatures without making a spot check – oh wait, Turbine plans to do that with release 5.0. Well then extend it to not auto-tabbing creatures around corners, behind doors or on ledges behind you.

    6. Change weapon specialization feats and enhancements to a specific weapon rather than a generic class of weapons (slashing, piercing, blunt). I want to be master of the dwarven axe; not master of sharp slashing things. Adjust the power levels for specialization accordingly.

    7. Have a combat timer analogous to a spell timer to represent fatigue. Players can still swing their weapons but with limited effectiveness. This should bring the game closer to pnp and reduce the need to have MOBS with ludicrous stats (1600 hp feels like Monty haul but it is necessary when fighters can perform 3 attacks per second doing 40 – 60 hp a shot).

    8. Random and improved rewards for collectibles

    9. Playable Monstrous Races. I want to play a kobold, lizard man, and minotaur and would be happy to exchange a character who is 1st level, 2nd level and 5th level to free up a slot as a balance to the advantages those races have over others.

    10. Design Quests Around Specific Skills to make skill development important to character concept. Use Balance to navigate a ship tossed about in a raging storm. Use Bluff to get past a bouncer and play in a poker game to get info on the criminal world. Use Concentration to navigate a maze of poppies without becoming intoxicated by the scent. Use Healing assemble bones into skeletons to animate via a dark altar to help win a major battle. Use Perform to operate an organ that opens portals into dimensional pockets when a song is correctly played. Use Listen to overhear a magic password that will allow entry to a portal that bypasses many obstacles. Use Hide to avoid a nearly invincible Sentinel that stagers over a ruined city. Use Spot to farm for exotic ingredients within a cavernous mushroom forest. Use Repair to activate and disable pumps to douse fires and raise the water level to swim up to inaccessible areas. Use Use Magic Device to operate a polymorphing chamber to temporarily change players into more powerful monsters (success could make a player a beholder or Troll; failure could make a players a kobold or a feral chicken). Use Search to find a trail of dusty foot prints that avoids a series of dangerous traps. Use Disable Device to sabotage a telescope observatory used by evil cultist to fulfill a terrible prophecy.
