I had an idea strike me as I read through the many posts here.
Seems as if a lot of people have found 'builds' for each class which provides for optimum Min/Maxing of the classes and races. This is great and am glad people share these ideas as I have used a few to make a couple of my characters better.
However I do have an idea that might make grouping and game play better.
Remove the individual kill counter. This only shows who got the last hit in, so many fighters, to show their prowess, run ahead of the group to gain a higher chance at a higher kill count. This angers the clerics as they have trouble keeping people alive, angers the rogues as the traps are sprung and they are stuck disabling a dead trap only for the XP not for the betterment of the party and angers the arcane casters as they have to hurredly keep up with the fighter based just to feel as if they are not just tagging along for the loot.
I play a wizard and do not mind tagging along for the loot. But do feel guilty as if they have done all the work and I get the reward.
I think removing the kill counter would help some of the speed questers to slow down and enjoy this pretty remarkable game. Just keep a total tally for the XP boost but remove the individual counts.
