    Default Craft Construct

With Crafting comeing in the future I want to be able to build a Iron golem or a simmerler being. I dont want smoething like the iron companion. I was thinking someone could dump a ton of money and mats. into building an iron golem who always fallows you around in quests but when it dies its gone and a new one must be built to replace it Its a tall order but I would love it
Stop complaining about the Devs, after all if it wernt for them you wouldn't be playing DDO at all...

I like your idea. I started DDO with a Wizard because I assumed crafting would be a part of the game. Unfortunately it was not. I think DDO should stick with the 3.5 rules and make crafting a caster/cleric only ability.

I'll be glad to enchant your Masterwork Scimitar for a small fee.

This is where I hope having the artificer class being brought into play where it will work wonders. I would like to see crafting limited to artificers only but then whatever they do, they'll do With the artificer we'll see some good creations and a solid economy come into being.

EDIT: The crafting I am talking about is making golems or constructions as opposed to potions, armour, weapons, etc, which should be accessible to everyone else.

Unless there are items that only an Artificer can craft, I'd rather not remove other classes' abilities to craft things that they can craft in PnP, such as a golem, just for the sake of making Artificers feel special in DDO.

I think that would be an interesting idea. Actually any such construct would be better than the annoying dogs some players can summon forth.

I could only submit that if people want quests to be more challenging then simply invite 1-3 characters to your group that can summon those dogs and make sure they are active 100% of the time. Constant grease everywhere will certainly up the difficulty level, or just ask your local mage to come along and do nothing but cast grease during every battle, that serves about the same purpose

Anyways, in regards to your suggestion, I would be all for it, as long as whatever can be created does not have the ability to spill grease everywhere...haha

I agree. Artificers already have a big advantage in crafting as is, no need to give the other classes a kick in the pants just to emphasize this.

A forum post should be like a skirt - long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.
