The point you start doing guild only qeusts/raids you have effectively decided that you have to be in a guild to be able to accomplish every qeust in the game...and that should never be allowed to happen. DDO was not conceived that way nor shoul it be allowed to develop that way. You all should really be ashamed of yourselves for even defending the concept...AGAIN I SPEAK OF ONLY GUILD ONLY QUESTS/RAIDS not any other perk mentioned in this thread as all of those are all ready provided already. So please keep your comments in reference to guild only quests/raids.

Yes I do choose...but I should be able to complete every single quest Turbine comes up with without having some meaningless requirment imposed upon me. I pay the same money as everyone esle therefore I should have access to every thing everyone else does which includes the basis for this entire game ie questing without having to do something that is an artificial social construct.
but the same thing goes for raids. Some people never get to raid. Other than TS I've only done a handful of raids and I don't feel cheated. With the way that a large part of the community feels Raids might as well be Guild Only.

I'm also (again) not in a guild, and I don't feel that Guild Quests would cheat anyone. You do have the same ability as everyone else to complete these types of quests. Join a guild ... or hey there is nothing keeping you from creating a solo guild and attempting them. Or hey create a Pug Guild if ya want to. Mind you that's a little silly , but hey if you think the quests are fun and want to run through them ... more power to you.

I must say though that I would definatley consider joining a GUild to do some of these things that are mentioned in this thread... and isn't that really what Turbine want? People getting together to do stuff. THey've said its a group oriented game... It seems that may extend to guilds as well.

Perhaps that is true; however, in the case of Raids...there is nothing preventing you from doing any of the raids in the game at the moment...there may be technical reasons for not being able to do them..ie no friends, no time, no interest etc but there is no artifical construct standing in you way. I am not saying guild housing and banks and what not are bad...I am saying guild only quests/raids are bad unless Turbine makes the accessible to anyone but changes the reward system ie you could choose to run it for guild favor or for a simple reward...then I say have at it Turbine but until then I say no!

Must say I am surprised. I will not continue to further try to change anyones mind. If you can not see the problem that guild only quests will create I refuse to define it further but when they do it and there is this outcry (as there will be) of how unfair that it is...I will be there laughing and saying I told you so.

These might be random drops, like collectables, or random chest drops... Perhaps also a Billboard type message which could be displayed atop your guild hall, a la "Eat At Joe's" or "Sphere = Leet".

    Default more ideas...

Guild Bath House - A place to get all nekkid and clean and relax with friends.

Guild Pub - A place to get sloshed together without random nubs jumping on your tables.

Guild Prop 215 clinic - An inconspicuous place for alternative healing.

Guild PvP arena - Come to my house and I'll show you how it's done.

Guild Shop - We sell vorpals, banishers, smiters, greater banes and everything else. Come give us your gold in exchange for these items, then let us use this extra gold for guild housing improvements.

Guild Motel - Rent rooms by the hour for when you pug an angelic voice and don't want to take her back to the guild house.
