I am, Rameses! A known local in Argonnessen and here on the forums; I am opinionated and I like to complete quests as efficiently as possible. Some will tell you I am a **** fine player others will tell you I am an ass... because I will tell you how it is... no fluff.

However, there is a trend that is growing on thelanis that is somewhat disturbing and I would hope to not see it here on Agrobar (ie: LFM: xoriat players only.)

I hope that this will not be the case once our servers have united. I look forward to meeting many new citizens of Agrobar.

Really, I can't understand why Thelanis and Xoriat hate each other so, it.. it just doesn't make sense to me. I thought they were all kidding at first (granted I didn't follow the proceedings closely), but man...

I definately don't forsee us having any problems unless someone actually tries to enforce that tariff thing I saw once (didn't really read through much of it). Even that I don't see turning into the monster that has plagued Thelanis right now.

I was in a quest and had an LFM up "quest in progress feel free to join" .... I get a tell from ((well call him "Player X")). The tell was one word, the name of a body part followed by a question mark.

I was confused, so I replied, "Excuse me?"

Player X repeats the tell.

I did not respond, I cut and pasted the exchange in party chat because my party members did not believe this happened. One of them responded to "Player X" asking him to stop.

Player X responds to that person and questions his orientaion and references role playing...

I reported it, squelched the player, and took a screenshot. ((send me a message if you want to see it))

Still, it screwed up my gaming day. Why should I have to put up with that? The last time I checked, no one pays my dues but me! It is NO ONES place to tell me how to play/ what to play/ who to play with. I am sick of it, and it just got started!

I spoke with SEVERAL others who told similar stories of generalized animosity.
I was really really tempted to post in the general area, and promise those very same "haters" that I will outlast them, and be here cheering when they are leaving to chase the next shiny.
I have more patience.

Knowing the core reason and why it spawns such blatent hatred is what really confuses me. Big deal, the guy doesn't like to roleplay. He in NO WAY had the right to lash out like he did (I've seen the pic). The absolute worse thing that could come out of a non-roleplayer in a roleplaying group (or vice versa) is that person leaves the group after maybe, maybe a quick conversation.

If this isn't an isolated incident, then there will be many harrassment tickets filed with many bannings that follow them.

Ugh, just... I don't get it. A person plays a different way than you do, but why does that person care/get so angry about it. I guess it was one of those "the way he grew up" or "tramatizing experienced" caused mental disorders (this is not a dig at the individual, but merely a shot in the dark as to what spurrs this kind of attitude) that cause people to lash out at one another for the shear fact that other people are no exactly like himself.

I dunno, after seeing this atrosity I stand by and confirm my belief that the argo-mabar merger will never be that bad... ever.

As for the children of the damned on that other server, I think Madmardigan and myself should roll up a character or two over there and have a little fun. They think they know hate now? LOL..

Anyway, we are what we are, and they are what noone should want to be.
Our merge will be a great thing, and I can't wait to get moved into my new place so I can return to the game (hopefully in the next few days).

Mabar is a tight knit community....we're had to be as a small pop server. I don't forsee any problems like this. I think for the most part everyone is pretty positive about the increased pop the merger will bring.

I have two little girls who play on Thelanis. I thought it better to put them on an RP shard than a min/max shard. That **** would get someone banned. Fast. And they'd better pray to all that's holy, that I NEVER found out where they lived .

I agree with the original poster - hopefully everyone on new Argo will be willing to embrace the new community.

I should note that my Guild's name on the new server will be the Legendary Knights of Mabar. We had that name on the old server and we are keeping it in order to keep a sense of history, not to exclude anyone from the old Mabar or the old Argo. To the folks who played on old Argo - we do not mean any disrespect we are just trying to celebrate our roots.

We are a mature friendly guild with a lot of close friends and family members who run a lot of raids. Anyone who is interested in running with us should drop a tell to one of our offices - Kegarian, Deepshadow, Greatcloud, Ladieblue, Snidely, Nutmeat or Veras and we would be glad to have you along.

As for the Thelanis-Xoriat issue, I feel for those players, sad situation...As for Mabar and Argonesson, you'd be surprised how people really liked the name Mabar, lol, worse Plane ever, sad part is I wanted the Founding Guild to be in Argonesson, guess I got there a Year and a half later-but most everyone I know from Mabar enjoys the fact that we will not have such a weak population anymore, might almost be like back in the early days where not being in a guild was much more fun than being in one. OMG you Mabar scumbag, go home!! LMAO, relax, Argo could care less. I dont blame you for wanting to keep a piece of history, and I'm sure its more than welcome here in Argo, I would do the same. I would like to welcome everyone from Mabar and I look forward to seeing you here in the Metro Server. I had the opportunity to play with several player while rolling for favor on Mabar, many from the Second City Saints, and I must say that I haven't met anyone that wont be a nice fit.
