Default Running multiple computers with DDO

Hey all, having a problem getting two computers to connect at the same time. Upon router reboot, the first machine to connect to DDO becomes the only one. The second machine will always get stuck at the "Getting Data Centers" screen. This occurs regardless of firewall/DMZ settings, and all port forwarding shenanigans I could think of.

I have completely disabled all firewalls.

I have tried putting one computer outside the DMZ.

I have tried manually specifying a port (then forwarding it) via UserPreferences.ini.

I ran an ethereal trace, I am not getting a response to my ARP requests and NBNS queries.

I know there's a lot of people out there running multiple computers with DDO simultaneously, has anyone run into this? How did you fix it?

Okay, after messing around with it for several hours, I got it to work. I'm not really sure what I did that made it start to work, as I had already tried every combination of settings I ended up with.

Right now, I have my firewall disabled, all port forwarding turned off, and the 2nd computer is outside the DMZ. Real safe and secure, eh?

I'll try to start adding security piece by piece and see what breaks it.

You kinda got me worried man, I've had 2 machines going since head start. Mine and the womans we both play. Can't remember what I did if anything at all to make it work. Keep posting bud, you might help folks in a similar situation... and if lightning strikes my house and I gotta do it over I might have to check this thread.

Well, looks like my making it work was a temporary glitch. Back to the same thing today. Tech support suggested checking for firmware updates, which I had already done, repeatedly. I went out to the web and dl'd the level I already had, then forced it to update anyways, no luck.

I'm convinced the router must be the problem, gonna pick up a cheapo 4-porter tomorrow and see if it works.

Yep, the bleeding edge, top of the line, bells-and-whistles router was the problem. Went out and bought a $30 Linksys S1, plugged it in, and logged on. Grumble.
