Default Xoriat Video Project final cut

Thanks to everyone that took part in the creation of this video, this was my first shot at machinima, and I learned a lot from doing this. Between the 2 "camera men" we shot over 140gbs of video at HD quality.

I tried to get everyone who participated in the shoots names into the credits, but if I missed you look for your name in some of the team bars I left in the video.

WARNING: Video is 670mb 720x480 and runs 25 minutes, downloading on a slow connection can take a long time. You have been warned.

Way too long for my taste BUT excellent recording quality. Soundtrack wasn't that bad either.

    Default Re: Length

Yeah, it is much longer then most internet videos. But we captured around 140GBs of in game 1680x1050 footage so I really wanted to show the best of it all. That is why it is crushed down to divx 6 and 720x480, uncompressed first cut with titles and music weighed in at 45GBs.

We wanted to get the actual gameplay video shown in the highest quality possible. Since this is our first Machinima project, we are pretty happy with the results.

I also needed to verify the results and quality of our production process for future productions. Next time we will be adding voice actors.

    Kick ass vid.

    Thanks Battlehawk.

Soundtrack rocked and the voiceovers were hysterical. Nailed that one.

    Default great shots

    I watched all of it..

I like the shot in the graveyard where everything goes all "scketchy"; Very Andy Warhol! "a girl's gotta make a living" Nice imagery where fanatasy mingles with obscured images of modern culture. (hence the A.W. ref)

The quality is surreal too , makes me see House D esp in a diff light (gotta love the vanilla sky). The characters as well come out in the high-quality shots. You could tell a story with detail like that.

Nice to see someone else out there who appreciates how many shots it takes to get a synchronized emote right. Very nice group "/angry" & "/salute!"

My fav shots: (minus the graveyard)

1.)The firewall in the first room, the party is standing in it in a row, everything is bright orange.

2.)The Beholder Room, the beholder is not in the shot until the flayers are dead, then you see her and she's stone!
Beholder drops in front of the camera which is why I liked that one.

3.)Fighting the giant with a million disco balls everywhere. It looked dark and different.

4.)I notice oddball things like the brilliant green in the feindish trolls underwear (underwear?); I never noticed that the Giant's (in the last fight scene) tunic flaps around at the bottom like that, You can look at it and it looks like it is made of material, ie leather and rivits, gives a whole new depth perception to the shot and does not run together. You may think I am crazy, but I appreciate art! It was pretty cool.

5.)I think I get the second graveyard scene, something has died... something has ended.
I like that you can see the smoke crawling on the ground.

Sir not appearing in this film? hehe, I caught that.

    /bravo
