I posted a bug report about this, but I wanted to see if anyone else is having a similar issue.
I have a widescreen monitor and run a resolution of 1920x1200.
Every once in a while, I have to press ALT+Enter to get out of full screen mode to check email, or im or whatever.
When I press ALT+Enter again to get back to full screen mode, the screen changes resolution to 1920x1080.
Here is the strange thing, after this happens, I go into the video options, and it still says 1920x1200, but its not, I have to change it to another resolution, then apply it, then change it back to 1920x1200 for it to look right.
Anyone else having a similar issue?

Yes I have the same exact issue, only mine is with 1280x1024 screen resolution going down to 1280x960.
I think there is a bug in DDO when switching from full screen to windowed and back.

Thanks for the reply, it seems to be the same problem, the resolution is dropping to the next highest setting.

It's the Windowed resolution
When you play in Windowed mode, that's the resolution that it uses to be able to display the window frame and menu bar up top. It doesn't like to change back though when you go back to full-screen without changing the resolution.

Yea I seen that happen when I alt enter i get back to the wrong resolution, but in my case it does list that one.
I go from 1680x1050 (16:10) to 1680x900 (16:9)
Seems to have to do with the aspect ratio getting confused while in window mode. Resizing the window seems to have some effect on what mode u switch to when u re-enter full screen.

Same issue here
I go from full screen mode to window mode and when I go to change my resolution back I have to reset it twice to make the change got back to the resolution it is set to. Otherwise it stays on this really low setting.Now I just hit the home key on my keyboard for my web browser and alt tab out to keep me screen at the same res.

Yea, I try not to ALT+Enter anymore, but sometimes when the game hangs during a loading screen, it seems to be the only thing that un freezes it, then I have to deal with changing the resolution Originally Posted by Ithrani

I have seen similar problems, and what I have done to eliminate this from happening is the following:
1. I dont use the Alt-Enter method. I simply open the Options panel and and uncheck the Full Screen box to go into windowed mode. Many games have some issues when you try to skirt around the proper method of full screen to Windowed by using the ALT-key combinations.
2. While in windowed mode, I have to maximixe the window for DDO in order to go back into full screen mode via the options panel. If it is not maximixed prior to switching back to full screen then DDO freaks out and refuses to go back into full screen mode or the full screen mode comes in at a different resolution.
For me as long as I do the above and stick to switching between modes via the options panel in DDO, I have not had this problem repeat for me.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I too have had similiar issues with 1680x1050, running 2x 7950 gtx's sli, on a ViewSonic 20.1 widescreen monitor but seem to be stuck in windowed mode and when I try to go back to full screen my monitor goes blank and the out of range shows up, I then wait for it to go back to the windowed mode. any ideas?

That's my problem as well. Thanks for bumping this, actually-- Was going to post one tonight or tomorrow about it.
I, too, play at 1680 x 1050. I can choose that as windowed mode, but I've switched back to full screen. Except now I can't pick my true resolution (1680 x 1050), and had to choose something around 1280 x 900, or something like that. Really annoying.
