Wink Old Idea But A Good One: Item Inscriptions

In AC, we could inscribe our items with some text. I'd love to be able to do that in DDO. Of course we could have some vendor somewhere that you could pay to wipe the inscription if you wanted.

Also, I'd love to be able to buy parchment and empty and write stuff on it and be able to give it away.

I think this is an interesting idea, especially the parchment. In some ways it reminds me of crafting, that the crafter's name was tagged to the item created. I would love to be able to inscribe onto any item.. rings.. armor.. weapons. Inscribing on the hilt or down the blade of a sword would be awesome. Course my armor would probably read something like, "Please deliver this corpse to ..."

I like. :3 I would definitely put some cash into doing that. Would make the items that you really like just a bit more memorable (Though most people will probably just say "It's a weapon. Get a new one."). Parchment would also be a nice idea. Not a huge thing, obviously, but to RPers I know that it would be nice to have. :3
