PM no more, I split the original recruitment post (or, at least, the one I think it was) into a separate thread to re-create the original recruitment thread.

Alas, however, as the other posts have mixed together. It's impossible for me to tell which one belonged to which. But, now we have a thread for chat and a thread for recruitment.

My apologies guys. I come from a few games where we just have guild chat in our recruitment threads. Keep the party going.

thank you celestrata. if it wouldnt be to much trouble, could you move post #599, 608, 622, 650? if you can do that, then i can fix up the rest in time.

also, i have to question the placement of the banter thread, in the recruitment forum. seems that general banter would belong in the khyber forum and the recrutment thread would belong in the recrutment forum. i understand that there are a few people that disaprove of the general banter in the general forum, however we thought that by keeping it all in one thread ... we were doing everyone a favor. having it in the recrutment forum will overshadow the actual recrutment thread and make it irrelevent, imo.

mac forum statistics show that, even though our recruitment thread was not active, it was bringing non bot traffic to our site where people get up to date info on our recrutment instructions and directions to our guild application.

It doesn't really belong in the general discussion as it's guild specific, but it doesn't really belong in the guild forum as it's not a recruitment thread. My initial instincts are to leave it here in the guild forum, as it's a guild-based discussion.

Those two posts had been like that for a long time, well over a year. We can roll over and let her try to skate around the issue, or we can call her on it. Those threads need to be put back in their unmolested state, in the place they were originally. Celestrata needs to apologize, again, and then drop the subject entirely.

She was wrong. Continuing to beat around the bush about it is going to make it worse. If she isn't sure about how to moderate a forum, she should check with someone before she start jacking around with threads that are well over a year old.

We are in absolute agreement. In principle. However, honey/vinegar, blah, blah, blah. She's already show the most rare of mod traits; that of being able to admit error. Based on that, I think a simple request should be effective in this instance. At such time as it isn't, then we get out the brusque guns.

just to be clear this thread is over four years old and if you count the one that was part of the purge five years old.
There should really be no problem with putting it back where it was. After all arnet the forums a place to meet and banter and cut up with the Khyber community?
Look there all ways gonna be someone looking to be PO about something but this thread didnt hurt, hinder,impose, or detract from the forum or anyone else.
