Right, but you can get the monitor now and keep playing.

Then order the Alienware PC sans monitor.

Also, here's a tip when re-installing DDO.

Install it from your original CDs/DVD-ROM, then instead of waiting for it to update, copy your current DDO folder to the same location as where it just installed.

(That folder is over 8GBs so you will probably have to setup both PCs on your network and create a share between them or go buy a 16GB Flash drive.)

FYI: I got faster loading just by getting a faster hard drive.

I dont hold stock in any pc building company and do actually get a discount from alienware, but just my opinion, STAY AWAY! They are owned by dell, and thats who you will get with your customer service. Like I said I HATE given any advice at all. but just take it with a grain of salt. I don't know of a single person that is happy and hasnt had major problems with there setup from them. They used to be THE system to have but in recent years have really fallen from grace. PPl see the logo but that wont fix the problem if you experience any trouble and need a repair. sorry this is just my personal xp with them. dont hate the messenger

I just did an upgrade for $440 (inc shipping) as my 5year old system died.
Core 2 Duo 7400
Asus Motherboard (Pro version)
4GB ram (1066)
BFG GTX+ 9800 graphics card (This is the plus version whoo hoo).
I can now run everything at max at 1600x1200 with no lag and thats without overclocking anything.
Got everything from NewEgg with $11 shipping.

Its good to see you wont be out for long then, If at all. Ah yeah sorry for ranting there it took little over a case of porter before i figured out I really didnt like it all that much. I cant believe I spelled so many things correctly.

Hows everything going? MAC was my first guild in DDO, great bunch if you play on Khyber... not sure if you guys remember the short stay of Tortoise Jones.. lol
