Default Alternatives to the New Raid Loot A, B or C

A - Give the party leader the option to select which raid system the raid group will use.
Select everyone getting a chance to loot (as proposed in the new system) or select the previous system where two items drop.

B - Keep the two loot items but add tokens.
Keep the system as is (two raid items per raid), and add rare Khyber Dragonshards based on difficulty of the raid. Dragon Raidnormal rewards 1, Dragon Hard rewards 2, Titan normal rewards 3 (you get the idea).

These Khyber Dragonshards are prized by a powerful artifacter wizard who has access to create rare and powerful items (aka Raid loot). Each item would take a varying amount of these special shards. This could be used to scale the current crapola raid loot like Ruby Gauntlets which might cost a few shards to more powerful items like the Dragon Sword which might cost dozens.

C - Tokens only for the raid end chest.
See above for details of how this might work

Giving Players options will ALWAYS limit or reduce disagreement about the 'right' way to reward loot. If Turbine is against a token based system, then option A is the way to go and will result in the most satisfied customers.

I think giving players the option is the most important, so I would hope they implement something where it allows players to choose between 1) the current system 2) pending changes system 3) token system. In all of these there is also a chance to get tokens from the normal chest.

Half of the new raid loot mechanic has been available to us for months, nobody ever used it tho, Random Loot Group.

Add me to the lets try the new system list.

I see more to this change than just in the loot.

D - Keep the two warded loot items but add 1/6 for everyone
same as now but does rewards you if you take more people.

All these options generally either increase the chance of getting loot altogether or the chance of getting a specific item more. I dont see why people cant clearly see that the point of the new system is to lower the chance of getting loot by making it a standard 1 in 6 option that was the original intent of the original system.

Proposals should be judged by the effect they will have, not by what they were intended to do.

If a modification will clearly have consequences that are different or seperate from what the designer meant, it is valid to oppose the idea on those grounds. In this case, the fact that the change will encourage players to run the raid with a full 12 members to maximize their personal chance to gain loot overshadows whatever they are trying to achieve with the per-person drop rate.
