Default Can someone form Turbine please explain

I would really like to know the logic behind the move to change the raid loot mechanic in the way described in the weekly development activities. It should be obvious from other posts I have made that I do not like this, but I won't restate my objections here. I'd just like to know what exactly your goal is in changing the loot system in this way. From somebody official.

    Default This is their way

Of fixing the Reaver Raid exploit instead of actually getting creative...

And I've read people complaining about the current system in the forums since I joined the game.

I like the new system, with 2 caveats...

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=116133

with option 1 running raid quests on elite you could get gear that is 2 levels higher than the raid. Good for power gamers.

with option 2 running raids on higher difficulties (for powergamers) would increase odds of a named item dropping.... again good for powergamers and a boon for the community.

Yep, This looks like an attempt to fix raid solo'ings, without physically changing the quests.

Ever since the curent mechanic was first introduced it has been one of the most hated things in the game, especially on these forums. In fact, what they have done is one of many alternatives that have been requested literally hundreds of times here.

I also like the change. The current system makes no sense for a game in which one of the major selling points is loot for everyone. This is much more in keeping with the rest of the game. It also made no sense to discourage raid groups from inviting new players.
