New Thread (7-31-07) What skill numbers should I be hitting?

Ok, normally, there would be a ton of threads for me to gather info, but all that info is gone. So I'm starting a new thread in hopes of getting some help.

I've recently come back to DDO, and while I am still in the process of tweaking my rogue, I find that some of his skills don't cut it anymore.

Barring that one trap in Cabal I think, what numbers do I need to spot, search, and disarm traps, and what's a good open locks number?

I've done alot of the new favorites on elite, and so far, I feel like my search is fine, as is my DD and OL, but my spot feels lacking. Also, I thought I read something about the dev's revisiting spot and search DC's? Is that true, and if so, are there any specifics?

Thanks for all the help in advance. I'd provide my current numbers if I had them at hand, but I'm not on my gaming PC at the moment.

Top level Elite, other than the Stupid Cabal Chest. This is from memory, so I'm probably off a bit.

Spot: 36
OL: 40
Search: 52 (possibly lower)
Disable Device: 58 (possibly lower)


The Stupid Cabal Chest requires approx a 61 search and a 73 disable

I'm running around with a 36 spot, search in the low 40s, dd in the low 50s = no issues save for the one cabal trap (61 search/73-75 dd).

And yes, dev's have said they are going to reduce spot/search requirements, particularly at the lower levels.

When GH came out, I spec'd everything back in: Boost, Way of the Mechanic, the woiks.

Then I gradually cut back as I got better gear (+13s up from +10s/+11s, picked up the Reaver bracers, got a lotta +5 picks, etc) and put the APs into other things.

I'm still seeing how close I can cut it; for a while I was asking groups "Hey, mind if I don't use my boost in here? I'm trying to see where these DCs are" and at this point I don't use my skill boosts in GH except to spam heal scrolls or to load a GH scroll.
