Is This A Trippin Bug?

I can't trip something tripable that is hypnoed, feared or has any other negative spell or the like cast on it by the group or someones item. HELP! This is a bug or is it becuase I lack the means to trip something that is helpless. What is going on here! I may have tripped something hypnoed, I cannot remember, I have not ever tripped something feared yet. What's your beef? Anyone give a rats potatoes?

I never noticed that.
However, sometimes there are various effects affecting the creature, and only one animation is displayed. So for instance you may successfully trip a dancing creature, but you won't see it, because it will keep dancing. If it succeeds to save vs. the dance, it will fall on its back though (unless it saved vs the trip in the meantime).

tihocan's right... next time, make sure and check whether or not the Trip or Imp. Trip status is applied to the creature (even if the animation doesn't show it).

I know for a fact that command is also over-ridden by dance, hypno, and some other effects, and acts just as tihocan describes.
