DR Bard song has Rage status icon

Did someone declare an icon shortage and I missed it? My barbarian confuses easily... but finds this very confusing. Couldn't the Bard song have a non-identical-to-Rage type of icon?

They gave the spellsinger song its own icon. Wonder why they shorted the warchanters. This should be fixed, and soon. The songs should also be altered. I have groups running away from me because they think i already gave them inspire greatness and they don't need it again.

a barbarian rages... drinks a rage potion... clicks his madstone boots... gets hit, activating another madstone rage... bard plays him a song!

Too bad the warchanter song doesn't boost strength as per rage. Or give a will save boost. Dr/5 alone is kind of lame at end game.

Level 6 bards are not "end game".

Moreover, the point of Warchanter is not the DR song. It's the +1 attack / +2 damage boost to Inspire Courage, which is valuable at any level.

In high level, the amount of resources a 5/- DR on the whole party can save would really shock you.

100's of weapon and spell attacks with a 5/- DR applied to each can really save on a cleric's sanity, as well as wands and sp.

I hope they expound on the specialties even more, as the level cap increases.

I have two bards, a 6/2/1 bard/barb/ftr, who is a warchanter, and he gets scary with how effective he can be.

I have a 5/1 bard who is thinking the Virtuoso or Spellsiger route, and I'll see how good those are as well :P

No no no I _LIKE_ the 5 points of DR. It's the icon I can live without.
