Default nomal, hard, elite and random!

read in the past on how a lot of people would love random monsters.

so how bout a random selection for missions where monsters would be random.
if people don't want to do that they still have normal, hard and elite for ya.

but for a bit of change and fun a random selection would be cool.
make people not get bored thats for sure.

    just an idea is all.
    normal, hard, elite and random.

and to select the level of random monsters, pick after selected random what level to do it on normal hard or elite.

I like the idea. To take it further, it would be nice if you didn't find out if it had rolled norm, hard, or elite until after the end of the mission. That way, the whole time you'd be trying to guess. It would make it much more difficult to approach a caster not knowing what level of spells they were going to hit you with.

I think it would be better if random counted as hard for xp purposes. But each room was either normal, hard, or elite (with its chests affected as well). That way you could potentially do it with a group that couldn't handle things on elite but wanted more of a challenge (and would never know when hard traps, etc were coming up).

Group every creature in the game with other "like" creatures of the same CR and boss status (name color). As a Total Favor reward, you can unlock access to a Xorian-linked relic (not a physical item) that gives access to Random difficulty with all characters on your account. Accessing Random requires that the group have Elite cleared as well as a character with Random access (but these requirements don't have to be met by the same individual).

When the quest loads, all monsters in the quest will be replaced by a random selection from the list of like monsters.

As an alternative, to promote end-game play, link every monster type in the game to a selection of high-CR monsters of the same type. This way, every quest in the game, on Random mode, is equivalent to the maximum CR currently available in the game.

Completing a quest on Random difficulty always grants favor with a new Xorian-linked affiliation rather than a fourth level of favor for the default.
