I was under the impression the resist bonus from nightshield wouldn't stack with a resistance item, but it should stack with GH.

That was my thought, too. But maybe it's a Morale bonus that does stack with item (enchanted bonus) and not with GH (morale bonus)? That makes it VERY powerful as a low level spell (unlike Paladin Resistance).

Nightshield doesn't give armor bonus, it gives a resistance saves bonus and immunity to MM and FM.

If it's a morale bonus, it's a bug that will probably get fixed soon.

I just logged in on my cleric to test this...

Stacks with (Greater) Heroism, but not with items.

This is what I expected, though - not sure what the fuss is about - it's currently a +3 resistance buff and my cleric already has a Kardin's, so its only really useful for the MM/FM immunity...

Just tested. The OP's statement is not true. Nightshield Resist works like Paladin Resistance. It offers a Resistance bonus that does not stack with items. But does stack with Heroism/Greater Heroism/Good Hope.

No fuss, just a simple misunderstanding bro. Thanks for testing it for us.

The reason we said it would be quite powerful as a moral bonus (non stacking with GH) is that as a first level spell that can be used as a saves moral bonus,stacking with resistance items, it would be much more powerful than not stacking with resistance items and stacking with GH.
