Could it be the downside of being a founder? Perhaps the different user groups have different permissions for some unknown reason, or simply as an oversight.

Edit: I have IE 7 and a delete button.

No, I for one have not.

Have you tested for this?

You have two test threads:

In one, I posted a reply, and edited it within 5 minutes. In this thread, it appears that I have a delete flag set to "allow".

In the other, I posted a reply, and edited it after 5 minutes. In this other thread, it appears I have a delete flag set to "deny".

So, to me it appears that if I post and edit within "X" amount of time, my permissions for that thread are set persistent for both that post, and subsequent posts within a specific thread.
