Thumbs down Time for a break

At a time critical for the game, I find that DDO falls short, so short that I am not renewing my subscription for awhile. Maybe not till next year because it is July 11th and we are still waiting for the June content.

Maybe it is the fact that so many have offered solutions to the mail spam we seem to continue getting - even when we are not online! Maybe it is the lack of insight that the developers have had in conjunction with games like WoW and even the god awful Everquest, yet you can get higher than 14th level in those games.

Maybe it is because I feel like Turbine is not listening to people, which is why I stopped playing Asheron's Call years ago, and is just in it for the money.

Think I'll go out and buy a new computer and play Neverwinter Nights 2 or Oblivion.

Fixed it for ya, 'cause this kind of Grave Pronouncement has been popping up pretty much weekly for the past year and a half. Surprise - the game's still here.

Yet they still make the posts, and they still think we care.

Well, of course. Look at the first quote in my sig for an excellent analysis of what people tend to think is best for everyone.

Those games are great, I quit playing DDO myself. Couldn't stand the level cap anymore, couldn't stand the changes they made to D&D to make their DDO so called 'balanced'. All I was doing was the same quests over and over and over with my lvl 14's and that just got old. Too old for me.

Good thing this was posted in the development forum. There is so much great input here for the developers to work with.

If those games are great and you quit playing DDO why do you still feel compelled to read and post in the DDO forums?

Bah ... I took a 3 month break from DDO last summer just because I was too busy with work and I was burned out from playing so much when it was released.

But hey, know what? I kept paying for my subscription during that time. Why? I knew I'd be back when I had more time. I simply wanted to keep supporting it.

I like DDO. Sure, it has flaws, all MMOs do. But it's my personal favorite MMO that I've played thus far so I'm sticking with it - even through the wife aggro.
