Default Buying pp on the internet

i wish there was a way the developers could stop some people from buying pp on the internet. Its wrong and it totally messes up the economy of the game. I mean seeing some people spend 1 million on a portable hole is crazy but they have so much money.

It's a problem that exists in most online games now. Developers do what they can, for the most part, to try and stop some of it. For example, Blizzard and NCSoft actively search for the "Plat Farmers" and ban those accounts. Blizzard doesn't allow trial accounts to trade items, or use the mail.

At this time, Turbine can't do much. I rarely see anything done about the people sending emails or tells about their "ultra cheap" DDO plat website. In fact, I've quit reporting them because it does no good. I did a report 2 weeks ago, and sense then, I have received 3 more tells and 4 emails from the person I reported.

Most of the time, I feel developers turn a blind eye for the most part. After all, even plat farmers are paying customers.

The damage is done. People cheat to make the game more enjoyable for them, but in the long run, end up hurting everybody else.
Rangers don't die, they just teleport to their bind point.

Don't know why anyone feels the need to buy money, they are cheating themselves. Money is easy to make, as is getting the top end equipment. Run the High End content on elite, and it's not a matter of if, but when.

I don't feel pressure to buy money now...like you say, its easier to come by than items to spend it on and these look weekends actually left me with more paralyzers than I could use (I still can't believe that!)

But when I was levelling my first char and everyone else in the group had hand-me-downs that made them killer effective while I was just getting by, now that sucked. I mean there I was in delares with that stupid -1 holy club barely hitting anything and they were dual weilding +1holy undead bane weapons.

And then there are those who get upset if you don't have a paralyzer yet at L10 as a fighter or don't have the money for raise dead scrolls as a L7 cleric.

Many of the rich old timer players tweak out the alts so much (and expect everyone has done the same) that it really does make the game rough for new players.
