Can someone give me the 411 on this? is it an expansion pack to DDO?

I don't want to appear rude but this has been hashed over more then a few times. 'Foresaken Lands' was orignially scheduled as a paid expansion but was given to us as a free module (desert quests) months ago. Amazon and other places are just too lazy to update the info. If you do a search you'll find the dev comments on this (as well as many other threads)

As in, the newsletter and forums will be plastered with information as soon as they give any official word of an expansion, even before (or at the same time) the retailers get the word.

Forsaken Lands was originally a concept of a paid expansion that was cut quite some time ago. The efforts that was to be the expansion came out with Module 3 - Demon Sands.

Basically what happens is the game stores get wind of rumors and attempt to gather pre-sales based on those rumors long before there is official confirmation.

Rest assured when Turbine decides to release a paid expansion, it is going to be a big deal with tons of hype. There will not be any mistaking it.

Turbine already has stated that expansions won't be something that we have to pay for and I feel that it will say that way. The only thing that could possibly go down that road is when everything goes epic lvl, and then maybe somewhere around 6+ prestige classes come out along with a lvl 30 or 25 lvl cap. whatever it may be, if a paid expansion ever does come out for DDO I would expect it to double the current content that the game has cause I don't think many people would dish out 50 bucks for an expansion that is the size of one of out modules.
