    Default Alignment Restricted Spells

Ok, so now that you've got this tech working why didn't you add Holy Word, Dictum, Word of Chaos and Blasphemy in at the same time?

As the spiritual successors to Holy Smite, Order's Wrath, Chaos Hammer and Unholy Blight, they seem like obvious additions. I had assumed it was the whole alignment restriction thing keeping them out, but that's obviously not the case any more, so how about it?

Yeah, but that's never stopped them before, with things like Circle of Death and Undeath to Death.

Anyway, contrary to popular belief they don't all have HD higher than our levels. We do see a few things that are lower on the CR scale, though not too many.

And it would be handy when you're soloing slight-lower-level content.

(Or, of course, they could figure out an actual fix for HD-capped spells.)

Ohhh..the old Word of Faith redone for alingments in 3.5...loved the original spell, so much fun. Holy Word is still good for general use though, outside of Eberron that is, and would be great for DDO since most things that aren't vermin or animals are evil/non-good. And if we got these, then you know the mobs would get Blasphemy...definate Oh @%$# moment there hehheh not to mention what it would do in PvP...since casters aren't affected by their own spells in DDO I can see the carnage in the Lobster now as Mystic Theurge pops in for a quick Word....*chuckle*

First they should add Protection From Chaos and Protection From Law.

Those should be easy and simple variations on Protection From Evil, and in the case of wizards, you don't even need to restrict usage by alignment. Note that there is no current way for DDO players to access a Protection From Law effect, which is a significant imbalance in PVP conflict. Chaotic casters effectively suffer a -2 on spell DCs compared to their lawful counterparts.

Quite true. Though you might as well throw Protection from Good in there too while you're at it. If only for the sake of completeness (and, of course, Purge the Heretics).

It's not just Evil, it's Non-good. Which means it affects animals and vermin too. That's one of the nice things about these spells over the lower level ones. They're of more use against neutral targets.
