Default Suggestion: Puzzle Change for the Color Blind

Can we have the symbol on the wall that tells you what to turn the wheel to be targetable and have a description that includes it's color and possibly a name for they symbol?.

The wheel's already have their color in their description so it can't be to hard to make the key symbol targetable with the color.

i.e. The symbol you find somewhere in the dungeon that you have to remember what it looks like and it's color to then use to turn the wheel should be targetable and have the color in it's description.

    Please discuss,

    Kambuk

People have been asking for this for a while.

    I think it's a pretty good idea.

Yes we have. For one thing Yellow and Orange on those things is fairly hard to tell apart and it is really fun when people have different color settings on their systems making yellow look like orange so they call out the yellow symbol when you ask for Orange.

Red (pinkish) and Purple (magenta, also pinkish) are also hard to differentiate. And yes, my monitor is THX color optimized.

    Default Yes please!

I read a study that said about 15% of all adults have an issue with color, my experience has been closer to 5 to 10%. I am not one of those, and I do believe that this would be awesome. In my day job (on another world called Earth) I set up computers for people who are legally blind. (I also work with the totally blind, but that's not for this post.) A small percentage of those I work with are also color blind. One way to beat the color challenge, is to make the different colors have different shapes. Thus you give the message to people by both shape and color, and if you keep the same combination, people learn it and can use it.

    For Example:
    Red: a triangle pointing up
    Green: a triangle pointing down
Yellow: a triangle pointing right (like ">")
Purple: a triangle pointing left (like "<")
    Blue: a globe, or circle
    Orange: a square.

The above example has the complementary colors being almost opposite each other, as they are on a color wheel. It's intuitive, and one possible way to do this.
