i do fine with loot, i simply looking forward to the xp bonus so i can get my latest characters up to level 10

That's it right there. I have a couple of lowbies I need to work on. And the XP boost won't hurt that. Oh sure, I'll probably have my 2 higher characters loot running GH for a while. My fighter needs a +5 MFP and +6 str gloves. But really nothing else. I have no need for any more weapons. Got my vorpal, disrupter, paralyzer, crippler, etc already. After that, my lowbies get there just attention....and lotsa cash.

As many of you have already noticed in the newsletter, we've announced plans for another weekend of looting and debauchery when all loot gains another level and you can earn 50% more XP! Our second Return to DDO Weekend invites all former players to return and experience the new challenges and adventures that they've missed! In addition, all players will receive:

* +50% bonus to earned XP
* +1 loot level on chests

And, as a special treat, live events will occur throughout the weekend!

The bonuses will be in effect from Friday morning June 15th through Monday morning, so plan for the adventure of your life!

OK, quick question. I highlighted the 2 points in question.

1) Is it just chests and not end rewards that get +1 to levels

or

2) Is it all loot and not just chests?

On a more serious note, there have been some rumors of +Tchurvul the Vulture skulking around the city. If you see him, consider him a threat and protect yourselves an he has many minions he can summon.

I plan on visiting as many of the servers I can during the weekend and I may even offer random individuals a chance at some small prizes - but don't worry, I'll be keeping an eye out for +Tchurvul.

Personaly I don't like the idea of the ex boost or the loot. I played the pen and paper way back in the day. Part of the experience was being rewarded for your deeds. Yes it can be tedius to level up the higher you get but that's part of the game. I have bought or found all my gear and that's fine. You should receive the appropriate level of gear for the challenge.

Well personally I like the idea of the occasional Loot weekend, but I tell you one thing i have noticed. If I was one of the Dev's I dont think I would read these forums much. I have only started reading them and this will probably annoy the mods and other readers but a lot of people on these forums need to step back and have a good look at them selves.

I am sure the Devs are doing the best they can and we have a great game all this negative post about who dosent like this or that does nothing. So on closing I say sit back and remeber the reason you stuck with this game and let the Devs do there jobs.

Don't get me wrong, I think this is the best game out there. I don't have to worry about some high level jerk coming in and whacking me. I understand why they are doing this weekend it unfortunately creates an opportunity for the plat farmers to fatten their pockets a little easier. I love this game and think they have done a great job.

So +1 and 50% starts Friday morning and ends Monday morning. Any chance a dev will post the actual start/end times? If they perform the same function as last time, it will be turned on while the game is up and running. I'd like an idea on a time frame. Friday morning could be 4am est or 10am est, same for Monday.
