Default Orien stuck @ "Getting in line to connect"

All the other Servers are fine, including HC... only Orien refuses to connect

I got it for 2 hours now. Other servers work, Orien does not.

    Cheers,

Yup, getting the same "Getting in line to connect" issue. Tried going to Hardcore and that wroked, but won't let me in on Orien. Please fix, I need my daily dose of DDO

Retry by dumping the client. I just got back in.

    Default Possible Workaround

Just found a workaround - hopefully this works for you, too:

Was doing the same thing to me, the way I got around it was opening two DDO instances. The first one you log into a character on another server. Then launch the second instance and it'll bring you right into Orien while booting your other character off.

I got the 'sit and wait' message for Orien just a few minutes ago ( 7:25 Pm Central, 8:25 Eastern ). Logged out/in, and the log on went through with only a slight wait on the same message. As others above, the other servers working fine.

Maybe related - I had just transfered a mule from Hardcore to Orien. The transfer failed, twice. Had waited until I got the confirmation email before trying to log on. Had sent a different mule to Thelanis just before with no issues.

    Orien seems grumpy this weekend.

Your World Transfer is complete! Below is the information for your transfer on 2022-10-08 20:21:35:

    TO WORLD: Orien

    Other details:
    Character ------- did not transfer.

Yup, they've managed to hose something with Orien sessions, on top of all the other stuff.

I was repeatedly blocked, managed to log on Ghallanda and subsequently a single session on Orien. Additional multi-box sessions display the same "wait" interface until timing out.

Easy fix that worked for me... disconnect pc wifi for 10 seconds, turn back on, and could login no problem after that.

    The issue persists.

I managed to log in yesterday once, now I can't. It doesn't seem like any solution works with 100% guarantee. It seems that whether you're able to log in or not is completely random.

Managed to log in yesterday by restarting the client multiple times. That doesn't work anymore today....

Edit: tried launching the game 3 hours later and it works fine. I didn't even turn off my PC, didn't restart wi-fi... it just suddenly works

    Unhappy

Yep still going on and our having to try half a dozen times is also even exacerbating the problem due to all the constant login requests. Iuspect some of his is due to the clients inability to often drop session for many minutes tying u pall the potential logins allocated. I nearly 100% of the time have to hard crash the dndclient64.exe in order to drop the session. Sometimes it will stay locked even 1/2 an hour later running overworking processes in the background. In my case around 20-25% of my processing power.

I can confirm. Logging in is a gamble. Stuck in loading screen and then trying to log back in is a gamble. Odds are on the house. No reaction whatsoever.
    Thanks again for nothing.
If you are logged in, don't log out if possible for any reason.

Still happening to me, though I'm dual-boxing & the first session often connects.

I hadn't had this happen since I saw this post the other day, but I did get it tonight. There is another similar loading problem I get once in a while, and the workaround for it is to just log a character all the way into the game on another server, quit out, then try your normal server again. Tried that tonight and it worked for this problem too. Doesn't have to be multiple instances of DDO as some people are doing. Not for me anyway. I'll try the wifi reset somebody suggested here if it happens again, that's even easier.

Still receiving the "getting in line to connect" message for Orien, but I can log into other servers with no problems or hang ups. I used this workaround, and it was the only way I was able to log into Orien all weekend.
