UPDATE: Game account creation and Myaccount access is once again available. Thank you for your patience while we worked through an infrastructure issue this week.

Players are currently unable to register new accounts due to a technical issue. We are investigating and will have more information when it becomes available.

There is a piece of tech in place that aims to try to preserve the viability of old links on the forums by changing their url from ddo.com/whatever to forums.ddo.com/whatever, this is a temporary solution until we get new forums. It could be that this automatic redirect isn't working well due to the hardware issue causing new account creation to be temporarily unavailable.

FYI, I have to log in twice, first attempt always results in an error that something went wrong.

Which could mean some man in the middle attack is going on.

I can re-try immediately with success, but currently that first time is consistently a fail.

Just input to the problem, I have faith it will all get fixed.

I've noticed its a fake fail, I seem to be logged in even with the error!

Yes, I have noticed this too and it seems to be related. We'll see.

The latest: This is related to am infrastructure equipment failure, and we have someone working on it. We'll announce when new account creation is once again available.

Just what's been reported in this thread.

TLDR: Hardware failure is currently causing several problems, including "No New Accounts" at the moment. It's being worked on (i.e. not all "hardware" can be bought off the shelf at this level of enterprise).

Account emails being rejected. Had to disable SPF checking.

Weird. I got the updated launched message that it was fixed which made me view this thread before your reply.
