We appreciate that you wrote and that you guys are working on it. At the same time we think it is quite unfair that this happens during many players' playing time. Recently there has been nearly a half a day problem with log ins (no compensation for that), weekly restarts or updates that take away usually few hours (no compensation) and considerable performance issues that players are experiencing (no compensation for that either).

We find it a bit unfair from your side.

That's correct, but they just assumed that late morning hours would be good for them. Why would they do restarts around 3am Eastern?? They know very well that would just be uncomfortable for them.
However many other games that have the same worldwide spectrum of players have their resets around between 2-5am Eastern TIme so that most of US players would be asleep European players also asleep or getting up or early at work or school or whatever.
Not sure how many players from Australia or Asia are there but I believe less than from US + EU.

They got the in-game announcement working again, made the announcement of the anticipated downtime a day in advance, they posted a follow-up explaining the delay... Everything everyone complains about.

I fully agree with this. The hours are convenient for them, not the majority of the player base. Sigh.

It’s stuff like this that reaffirm all those times I’d considered going VIP but didn’t. It’s annoying enough to have bought individual content additions for a game that routinely tells me “Nope, you can’t play now. Game will be available later when you don't have time.” I’d find it significantly more frustrating to pay monthly for the inconvenience.

It may not be your intention, but your post certainly could be interpreted as saying "Who cares about Australia and Asia?"

Personally, I would suspect that paying people to come in at 2-5 might cost more money.

The point is, it's going to suck for someone.

Right now, it sucks for me. OK, that is not making me overjoyed- but hopefully, the game will be functioning at a greater level of efficiency, and therefore everyone benefits.
