Default A QOL ask for devs

Can you please increase the time a character has before they are booted out of a quest after being disconnected?

For instance. I just did Dreams of Insanity. Soloing. I was at the very end and a brownout hit. It didn't last but a few seconds and power came back on. By the time my router and computer had reconnected I was booted.

That is so frustrating it should get a prestigious "This sucks so bad" award.
Sometimes I pull one out just to watch it die over and over. That's how much I hate hires.

It's definitely a valid request. I live in Florida and we get few-second power outages somewhat frequently here in the summer - enough to make me plan for it.

I use fios so this may not translate 100% to other providers. The main fios unit in my garage has a battery that isn't absolutely necessary but requires replacement every few years ($30 or so) - this keeps fios running in the event of a power outage - not sure how long but I suspect longer than standard battery backups. In the house we have a standard off-the-shelf battery back-up for our router and another for the pcs. All 3 have a 3-4 year life so it ends up costing a little over $100 every 3-4 years but it completely eliminates the few-second power outages while also protecting the equipment.

I mainly invested in this for when I worked from home before I retired, but I think I'll keep it up as it's come in handy while playing DDO a few times.

As a player there's times where extra time would be useful. But I can see it putting a huge amount of extra overload on the servers and hurt performance. The server despawns quests (and airships) after no player has been in it for 5 minutes. If it's increased to 10 minutes (or 15 or whatever) then that's a whole lot of extra time where memory and CPU resources are being used to maintain instances. That's a lot of extra wasted overhead for the rare solo player who DC's for 5 minutes vs the majority of the times when people wouldn't need extra time before a quest despawns.
