Experience stone question.

Can the same character use one Heroic Experience Stone during levels 1-20, followed by the use of one Epic Experience Stone during levels 20-30?

The stone description says only one stone use per character, but I'm curious if there's an Heroic/Epic distinction.

Yes you can. You can't use 2 heroic stones in one life, or two epic stones the same life
