So I have a Heroic Fire Q-Staff completed, but I really want to make an Acid Q-Staff.
Would a Fire Q-Staff work fairly well in mid-heroics?
Or should I keep grinding for an Acid Q-Staff?
The "do what you want/is fun" is a horrible answer to SPECIFIC questions.
I'm not familiar with ToEE staffs, but my friend used a fire one up to epic (and then some). I'd say it depends on what quests you use to level. Are you planning on running a lot of shavarath or um....well, stuff immune to fire and you can't strip that?
Upcoming nerfs on meteor swarm too, is this for an alch/sorc and can you be done with his life by the time it hits live lol?
Mains - Messam, Indalecio, Mozenrath, Quackerjack.
I am a serial TR'r so the exact class does not matter so much. I switched over the Q-Staffs because all classes can use them.
So it seems like the main concern is immunity...and quite a few enemies are immune/healed by Fire.
I will keep trucking towards an acid Q-staff, its pretty easy running Heroic Elite on a lv 30 Warlock.
Thank you for your guidance.
you mean as a caster stick or melee?
I use an AoE ice dagger for melees in the offhand since ice is a will save which seems to be harder to resist. Plus, in TWF, attacks like the AoE happen to proc on the mainhand as well. So it procs more often as a result and makes it somewhat worthwhile. Otherwise, the damage is too little to really make sense to use it alone like a melee qstaff would offer as compared to, say, the elemental bloom from the same quests.
I use it basically from levels 7-11
