    Default Thelanis World Issue: Friday, December 11th

    The Thelanis game world experienced an unexpected issue today that required us to return the game world to an earlier state from this morning. This means that any progress made since 4:00 AM Eastern (-5 GMT) until the world went down around 5:00PM Eastern (-5 GMT) on Friday afternoon will not be able to be restored. Automatic refunds have been made for any DDO Store purchases made during the impacted time, and VIP players who logged into Thelanis during that time frame will have their subscription extended by one full day.

    We have also enabled some bonuses for Thelanis to assist players through Sunday, December 13th:


    • Heroic/Epic XP +15% (in addition to the week +5% Heroic XP and +5% VIP XP Boost already in progress).
    • Treasure Hunter Boost +10
    • Reaper XP Boost +10%
    • Double Daily Dice XP
    • Guild Renown +10%


    We deeply apologize for today's issue, and we will work to ensure this situation does not occur again.

    Second rollback in recent history, although not as bad as Wayfinder, it's not a good sign. The work you did to ensure it didn't happen again after the Wayfinder rollback seems to be completely insufficient. Maybe it's time to really reinvest into DDO's infrastructure since it's now known we support SSG to a degree to where you aren't scraping by. Also, we all know the database migration was a huge downgrade, so maybe start there.

    Nice....then you can also reimburse me the DDO points I spent after I TR'd to get a couple of Ruby's for my 15th level artificer that I bought from the DDO store. PM me.

    I spent an hr getting my toon ready to play this afternoon before the downtime, got all the spells, components, got the throwing dagger set up. Now this after I spent DDO points.

    Lost a whole days work, ddo store items not to mention the items I rerolled for in the chests.

    Great, I just spent today farming tokens to get ready for another TR. It's already a pain but I thought at least it's over I can spend some time leveling now, now I get to look forward to doing it again. Can we please finally get the token system overhauled or at least add both heroic hearts to the commendation system?

    This boost isn't enough. I lost three levels that I earned on my day off and if I am lucky I will be back to where I was before the boost runs out, so in essence I lost 3 days worth of play

    After logging in, I'm getting the "chat server is temporally unavailable" error, and the Friends list is gone, just like from a few weeks ago.

    So what about the people that were almost capped and now are lvl 20? is sorry supposed to make me feel ok for 11 hours of game time?

    I lost out on a+8 tome that someone posted and now is gone in plat house do I get reimbursed this sucks

    While understanding that issues occur, the "compensation" proposed for today's lost gaming time is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! What about those of us who can't game this weekend? How are we supposed to recoup the lost levels, XP, loot items, used potions, etc., etc.? Two measly days worth of dubious "benefits", over a weekend no less (when those of us with lives have other commitments and obligations), is totally inadequate!

    I think its more amazing that the person who posted a +8 tome didnt get scammed out by selling it for plat instead of shards. Or you're just full of it.

    Not happy about this at all. Lost several levels, and a number of items farmed for in quests. A bonus to xp and treasure isn't going to get that back. Way to go DDO team... you've seriously RUINED my day, and I don't think I even want to play anymore. Heck, it was already ruined when we got the 30 second warning when I was in the middle of a quest. Then the roll back and all the progress lost... even worse.

    same here, missing everything I purchased and no DDO points reimbursed.

    Sent a ticket to customer service but not going to hold my breath. Just kissing those DDO points goodbye...

    Transferred my remaining stuff from hardcore yesterday and lost whatever was on it. Any compensation for that? D:
