Would it be possible to add the Eldritch-Knight tree to the Warlock class? From what I've seen this would be an excellent fit for a class lacking in melee options.

That's actually not the worst idea. I think Enlightened Spirit was sorta trying to be that option, but it just doesn't quite work.
A Warlock EK tree could be interesting. Maybe make the spellswords based on pact magic instead of elements?
I am against the idea of homogenization in DDO.
I already think it's absolutely awful that Sorc and Wiz have an identical EK tree. I really don't want to see any skill trees copy and pasted elsewhere. Universal trees are much better ideas, so I'd rather see a universal tree that's designed with Warlocks in mind but can be accessed by anyone.
Yeah I think it'd be OP, combining Spellsword+cleaves+defense with ES's aura/blast+defense and 20 levels of support in each.
I agree that ES was supposed to be what EK was for Wizards. I'd rather just see ES get some offensive improvements to make it more successful at that. That can mirror some of the things EK does, but I dont think it should be a complete cut-and-paste.
Honestly if you're going to give Warlocks a Wiz tree I'd rather see them get PM, so at least Abyss Locks can function
