Default Elusive Bounty - Three Barrel Cove Location

Okay, dont know if its just me, however it seems that its really living upto its name. I know that its down in the crack in the rock and a twist under, however three times I have been out there and it seems to be missing for me on Argo server on Heroic. Now for a location those dont come and go like the Rares do so I find it puzzling that the location isnt wanting to be found for me, nor is the shiny pile of gold even showing.

Can anyone else verify that its done a disappearing act, or has it been moved from that location near Ghost of a Chance quest?

That one is in "guide dang it" category.

Every time I went for it, I had to search every nook and cranny of it's location to find it.

An "underwater action" / waterbreathing item ist necessary there.

Why ? Because the "elusive bounty" is hidden behind several incredibly small turns of a multi-layered cave - up, down, that's the best formulation I can come up with to describe it.

It's like ... swimming up, tuirning, swimming down, turning, swimming up again ... this sort of thing, looking down, looking behind you ... the entrances to the cave parts are often imho *extremely* well hidden, especially since the rock looks the same anywhere there.

This was the one and almost only time within any game I have ever played in my whole life to create within me a very serious feeling of Claustrophobia.

First, I second the comment about taking an UWA item out with you. IF you've got the path memorized, you can make it down and back on breath, but only if you enjoy adrenaline.

Now - it is tricky at first. Once you find it, take a few minutes to retrace your path up and back down again. Notice your facing for the up-jog/move/back-down bit and it'll be a lot easier on later visits.

edit: On re-read of the OP, you mean you're getting to the bottom of the crevasse (including the UJ/M/BD bit) and the pile isn't there?
That'd be a new one, as it's never been missing before on any of my visits as recently as this season of HCL.

*Gonna log on Argo and go have a look*

...Stopped by and confirmed was there for me on Argo.

    It's more of a down-jog-down-turn-move-turn-up-move-down maneuver - but it's there.

    Confirmed.

If you've never been there before, a standard water-breathing spell isn't guaranteed to be enough time, and it's not impossible that even the House P 30-minute buff might run out before you can get there and find your way. It's that convoluted - but it's there.

Actually you can use a water-breathing spell if you know the way through the turns in there. If you dont think you are going to get out quick enough, and have at least 10 seconds left on the spell, then simply recall out, that takes about 5 to 10 seconds to do.

I have been out there numerous times and for some reason it was just not showing up on that character for those three times during my two sessions (cable dropped out). I have gotten it now having gone out with another char once I had a snooze to confirm I wasnt going crazy and just missing it, nope, not missing it and took the char that it wasnt showing up with and got it.

Also, when you get to the chamber before it is, which looks a dead end if you dont know where the entrance is to the final chamber, you can hit Q, or your Select Next Interactable and it will lock on the Pile of Gold in there.

"If you know" is the keyword there.

For those who have never been there before, and item is absolutely necessary, the spell alone is much too short timed for that.

Luckily, crafting such an item with Cannith Crafting goes relatively fast : It's one of the lowest level items. A "Level 1 Minumum" shard + "underwater actiobn" shard, i think that makes up 20 Cannith essences ( if I recall it correctly ). And do it as a "bound item", it's so much cheaper in crafting. "Unbound" is much, much more expensive.

Once you get used to the location you will find it quickly. It is a bit like the swimming in Let sleeping dust lie. Needs some practice.
You nerfed my monks, throwers, dailies and alchemists.
I hardly play anymore, found a better hobby.
    Thank You!

Agreed, once I found in in 30 seconds.

Second time it took over 5 minutes.

Lose your orientation and it's a mess.
