Default Heads up about Artificers and Mounts

There's currently a conflict between Artificer Runearm Use and mounts.

While the feat "Rune Arm Use" is enabled, you begin charging your runearm when it's off cooldown. However, when beginning to charge your runearm on a horse, you dismount.

This normally wouldn't be a problem, but mounting does not disable the feat.

TL;DR: Turn off your runearm autocharge when summoning your mount!

Same applies to Pale Shroud, AFAIK. Yeah its super annoying.

I had to bind the RA toggle to the hotkey right next to my horse so I could hit them both together. And then I always forget to reactivate my RA until the first fight of a quest when I try to fire it ><

Hope that's fixed in the next patch.

    Default Another way

I have a hotkey (G) to equip my cannon/crossbow, and another (X) to equip a blank weapon set. I always sheath (X) my weapons when I am not using them, so 'mount' is Thumb key, dismount is (G), ready to fight. Charge is always on. After the fight, X, Thumb Key, and I'm ready to go.

    edit: thumb key on mouse

Ah, so you can have the Rune-arm charge feat active without having the Rune arm equipped? That's handy. Not wearing a rune-arm is probably more noticeable in a quest than it not charging!
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.
Feature wishlist: colour-coded HP bars; red/blue teams in raids; rez-timer in party menu

What benefit do you get from having your weapons sheathed?
No one in the world ever gets what they want
    And that is beautiful
    Everybody dies frustrated and sad
    And that is beautiful

Ah, I can have my runearm charging and still mount the horse. Equipping the arm dismounts me, and I'm ready to fire.

When I log on, I turn on stances and the runearm charging feat, leave it on all the time. I got in the habit of sheathing because standing in front of a banker trembling in a half crouch looks weird. All of my characters are of course super heroes and by definition cannot look weird.
