I am trying to install on an older mac book pro running mojave (most current version). The client opens but then encounters an update error. It waits 60 seconds to retry then closes "unexpectedly".
I have read through a couple threads but haven't seen anything addressing this issue, I'll keep looking but if you know how to get this to work please let me know.

Figured it out (I hope)
As a mac noob I am sure others here are going to laugh but... apparently the file I downloaded to install the game created a disk image when I executed it. the DDO live file was on the disk image and was not (apparently) able to run from there. I dragged the file to my desktop and executed it and... hey presto, DDO is now downloading enough files to fill the Albert Hall. Hopefully when I try to play in the morning, everything will work just fine.
