    Default Spell Pen Max?

Is it possible to break spell resistance on Golem/Wisps?

Do golems/wisps merely have 100 spell resistance like undead have generally 100 fort, or is it higher?

I was looking at flesh to stone on an earth savant, and it looked like the 1d20+Pen roll could exceed 100 and stick if it was only 100, and it would almost be easy with debuffs.

    20 levels

    12 Enhancements
    3 racial (non-dragonborn arcanum)
2 Spell Penetration 2 Savant Trees
    7 Earth Savant Cores 1-6

    17 Items
    8 Equipment (Nightmothers)
    4 Insight
    2 Quality Spell Penetration
    2 Spell Augmentation: Arcane
1 Eye of The Beholder 3 Piece set

    19 ED
    5 Magistar
    2 Echoes of Ancestor: Wizard
    3 Magistar Master of Transmutation
    3 Piercing Spellcraft Magistar
3 Piercing Spellcraft Exalted Angel twist
    3 Piercing Spellcraft Draconic twist

    17 Feats
    8 Spell Penx3
    9 Past Livesx6

    5 Buffs
    1 Guild
4 Grouped with Spellsinger (1 caster level + 3 spell pen)

    4 Debuffs
    ???Chain/Magic Missile + Nullmagic Strike???
    ---------------------------------

    90 Spell Penetration + 4 Debuff = Break SR on wisps/golems?

You could try it the hard way or you could cast after a Vorpal shattermantle shot.

The magister and exalted angel spell penetrations lock each other out. My understanding is that there are workarounds to get both, but that is not working as intended.

The other thing to test at a future date is if the earthshatterer warhammer proc will work with thrown with the hammer offhand, using charisma to hit from EK.

Also need to test what actually can and can't be hit by flesh to stone.

Portals according to wiki are *only* 99 SR. So if that is what "immune" mobs have, then we should be good to go.

No worries acid bonuses don't work anyways it is an earth spell. So you can drop dragonborn.

Earthshatterer proc rate is really low on FtS mobs. It doesn't work offhand either.

Now just have golems and wisps to test at some point.

Even if you can beat Wisps and Golems spell resistances I would think they would be immune due to not being fleshy.

Prismatic Ray and Spray Blue Ray does work on them, but not sure if the spell is codded differently outside of no spell pen check. The same applies to Green and Violet Rays death effects. Indigo Ray fear effect works on Wisps, but not Golems.

If I remember correctly, Wisps are just straight up immune to effects that have a spell pen check, or as the wiki puts it Immune to Magic. According to the Iron Golem sub race wiki page, so are they. So past the Tethy drow SR, you don't need any more.
