Is my math correct, (using wiki as my source of info.)
543 including explorer areas?
Wiki is awesome. Thanks to all that work on it.

Depends on if you count the epic versions of heroic quests as separate quests or not. In some ways they are (You can run them for full XP at a different level range and the challenge is greater, the loot has different power levels and may be altogether different) but in some ways they are not (either version counts as flagging, the Favor is only earned once, and the first time run bonus XP is only earned once, the map and mobs and quest objectives are usually identical).
Asheras - Velania - Renvar - Ventarya - Officer of Lava Divers - Khyber
There are also some "quests" that are listed, but are open to interpretation as to their status - "Refugee Toll" (NPC guard at the end of the Harbor Pier, when you first arrive from Korthos), the Crafting Tutorial, Harbor Master's Favor (tied to WW), and "Finding Meridia", among them.
Im kind of looking for the total # of Q's. omitting difficulty, and non adventuring types as mentioned. Thanks
Just open the adventure compendiumin game and count that should be everything but the walkup quests in threnal.
I don't know exactly what you consider to be a different quest (Is Legend of Two-Toed Tobias different from A Legend Revisited even though they share favor?)
In any case, according to those awesome (since I made them) tables: http://ddowiki.com/page/Level_1_quests
There are 382 quests if you count quests that share favor as one and quests with heroic and epic version as one.
There are 394 quests if you count quests with heroic and epic version as one, but count quests with different name (wiki entry) as 2 (necro IV, 3bc, GH)
There are 502 quests if you count all versions as different (heroic/epic)
There are 40 wilderness adventure areas (counting heroic and epic differently).
Total: 542
I would guess that your result of 543 comes from this page: http://ddowiki.com/page/Quests
This page is currently incorrect because it lists a historic quest ( http://ddowiki.com/page/Buy_a_New_Weapon ). I would generally not trust information of tables in the wiki made by ShoeMaker. He never tests whether the results he produced are accurate.

Im thinking this is the number.
If a quest has different layout in heroic/ epic then IMO they're separate, and should be counted as such.
Thank you, I have a reason for asking, *yes there's another new player suggestion coming from me*
Do you count Hall of the Mark, Return to Delera's Tomb and To To Find a Witness: Archbishop Dryden as quests? If not, -3 from the number.
Return to Madstone Crater doesn't really have a different layout. Do you count that as the same as the heroic version? If yes, -4 from the number (madstone, pop, cabal, tor)
Trial by fire doesn't have a different name in epics. Do you count that as a different quest? If yes, +6 to the number. (trial, feast, cry, crucible, maze, foundation)
I won't go into details about what he's doing for the wiki because it's a long unpleasant discussion. No matter how much devotion and whatnot he puts into that wiki, the fact is that many of his tables display incorrect information and one should not completely trust compiled data in the wiki (bug lists, monster tables, loot lists, quest tables, page categories, etc.).
