The sphinx at the entrance to White Plume Mountain is called a "Gynosphinx". This is a sphinx with a woman's head, not a lion's head.

The art used for the Gynosphinx is based on the 5th edition version!
You can find it on page 282 of the 5th Edition Monster Manual.
