    Default Where Worlds Collide

I am sure I am not the first to suggest this, but what are the chances we can combines servers so we have a few medium/high populated servers as opposed to 8 lightly populated ones?
It cant be a technical issue because we can already transfer between worlds and the world used to be a lot more full(so not a server capacity issue).

Personally I think the game would be a lot more fun if there were enough players to see people running through the markets and there being live Trade General and Advice chat channels going on.
Perhaps some things, like guilds or guild ships would be unmovable but that would be a small price to pay to have more densely populated servers. Things like PUG raids would be back on LFMs on a regular basis, more items would be bought/sold traded, more crafters in each world, bigger guilds, etc etc.

I am sure there are people married to their server(I have always played on Thelanis), but if they said we will go down to 3 servers and Thelanis is history, well again its the price you pay for progress(or perhaps in DDO case, lack thereof).

Look at the character transfer tool.
Look at all the things that you leave behind when you use it.

They will not merge servers when everyone from the deleted server would lose those things.

The servers aren't that underpopulated IMO, except for Wayfinder. The players on Wayfinder also like playing on a low population server often for lag-related reasons due to their locations.

    No, just no.

Could we please have a minimum of a month between server consolidation threads? Please.

I survived the server consolidation in LOTRO. Don't do it here. (And please, no world chat. )
The blinking Drooam "backpack" is NOT a party buff. But its fun to say it is.

    OP, press "o".
go to the "Who" tab, sort by level and then press the [search] button. There are a lot more people on than you think.

Some people only play in static groups, channels, guild or soloing.

Probably can't convince hundreds of players to leave behind their reincarnation cache, their guild ship (some spent hundreds-thousands of dollars on it), their entire guild (would have to reform on new server), leave behind their names if they merged with someone else who had their name, leave behind their BB, leave behind their raid count. Should I continue? I mean, you probably can't convince all these players to do these things. Personally? I'd be fine with the chaos that would happen, but some of us just want to watch the world burn.
