On Thelanis a set is on the shard ex for 450 as.
If they are non functioning, maybe a GM or something can remove them before a new player gets ripped off.
Why would we want to loose a player to that.
If they are good, then I would pay that probably.

Its good to see that someone that has genuine interest in other players around here. There might be a problem, I had a set of handwraps spontaneously generate extra slots one time. Though I could put augs in the slots, none of them, not even the originals, would work anymore.

Im not sure that I would assume that they dont work though. There are some very rare items that tend to appear for a short time especially when there have been changes to the loot table. For example, Im aware of at least 3 pairs of randgen double threaded handwraps in game (I only own one of those). I had a couple of randgen shields with red slots. Other odd things do occasionally appear. I really like that, it makes loot worth looking at.

Has anyone seen another? I have to wonder if its some new thing that can only be found at certain levels or quests?

It was on those goggles, coz I bought them for 450AS!

The green slot worked fine, but the purple slot, whilst in the description, was effectively non-existent - I couldn't slot an augment of any colour in it.

GMs were a huge help - many thanks Doe and Mochi for responding and sorting out a suitable resolution.

I got my AS refunded by Doe and I then destroyed the item.

Caveat emptor on any similar items, folks!
