WAI? New ransack penalities

I just ran Epic VON3 and got 0XP for killing Prikta. Here were my ransack penalties


Ransack status of objectives in this quest:
- Slay Chactar Luridae: -40%
- Slay Blackheart Ambassador: -40%
- Slay Drinto Luridae: -40%
- Slay Huarn Luridae: -40%
- Slay Mrist Luridae: -20%
- Slay Wumat Luridae: -60%
- Slay Dartak the Beholder: -50%
- Slay Prikta the Beholder: -100%
- Slay Aryip Luridae: -80%

Current ransacked quests:

Gateway to Khyber
- Heroic XP penalty: -40%
- Epic XP penalty: 0%

Is this the way it is supposed to be for optionals?

Optional XP has been based on how often you do them within a period of time. Based on your post it looks like Prikta spawned more then all the rest. But I do admit I've never seen one at -100% as I thought they capped at -80%

IIRC the -80% cap is for quest xp, not optionals. Optionals can go down to 0.

How did he ransack an optional to 0 xp while only getting- 40% for the quest? Besides not completing, what else could lead to this?

As far as I can tell optionals reset slower or just inconsistently. If you don't run the quest for several days it seems OK. But daily runs it seems random. Maybe options are set to 24 hours but quests to 18 or something similar.

Definitely inconsistently not slower, it seems unlikely for the ransack for the rare spawn beholder to be higher than that for the two drow optionals that always spawn.

It has been over a week since I last ran VON 3 and the optional ransack penalties are still the there (some have dropped a bit though)
