    Default Is Ghallandra dead?

Hello, i stopped playing ddo few months back, and i came back 3 weeks ago, and i notice its hard to fine a group for quests you need to do or even get people to join?

Is Ghallanda getting unpopular or is the style of players like to solo the way to 20+

Is it possible for sever merges like they did in EU severs? i believe it will make ddo more like a community, like it was before.

    Thanks

(sorry for miss spell on title) no pun intended

Ghallanda's about mid way in server population atm but frankly apart from Wayfinder {completely dead} and Sarlona {the current default} the difference in population between the remaining 6 is barely noticeable.
7-9k log ins per day each!

Server mergers have been asked for a thousand times {and I'd be very happy for Turbine to merge the 8 servers into 4 personally}.

It's just that the Cove is on.........otherwise would just be as per. Like the idea of a merger, just can we have free transfers to servers that we want pls?

Dead as compared to what... the "old days?" Sure. From a few months ago? Nothing has come out that would draw people away. You may have noticed kids home from school a few months ago, now they are back so they play at different times.. and probably a bit less often. Also, with so many more areas in the game, and so many airships... town areas dont look busy like they used to.

In essense there is plenty of action to be found. Steady questiing via PUGs are not reliable. If you want reliable entertainment, join a good active guild that fits your playstyle!

When pugging on Ghallanda, you have to let the lfm window determine your leveling path. There's always a few LFMs in each level range. If you want to strictly pug, you hit the ones that are there, even if you've already ran the quest. Taking the xp penalty will be more xp/min than waiting around for a pug for a quest you need. If you start a pug and refuse to start the quest and put ip, it's almost impossible to get the pug to fill. No one wants to be the first one to hit a pug and be in danger of waiting ten years if the person decides wants to wait for a full group to get started.

Now always true. On the contrary, there are those that wont join a run in progress for many reasons. One being it might be a solo man's zerg fest, not fun for many types. Another reason might be he/she might be just about done and by the time they get to the quest, its over. They might not know exactly where the quest is... so they feel funny about joining a quest already in progress. Then theres others that are looking for a social group atmosphere, very unlikely possibility when 1 or 2 guildies are zerging through off mic.

When I put up a group Im telling people we are filling, Its so different from what others put up it sometimes does the trick. Then again, I dont have a need to PUG much unless I want to for a temporary glimpse into insanity

I've given up looking for groups and pretty much exclusively run with Hires. The crowd here is... I wouldn't say unfriendly, but faaaaar too advanced for most casual players. I have no idea what "flagging" is, I'm not an MMO junkie, but I do like to put in a few hours a week, so I find it just easier to use Hires.

That's a shame. The game is a WHOLE 'nother game, experienced with friendly guildies who share the same playstyles and goals as yourself. You can learn more about the game, and have more fun playing the game...

We've had many a new recruit join us that didnt know what "flagging" was, nor had ever been in a raid. Before long they know far more about the game... which they learned at their own pace. Casuals are King in Tyrs Paladium. Never any stress ... just good times That being said, we have all levels of expertise in the game... just that we respect a laid back FUN time.

So have hope! And look for Tyrs Paladium, we'll gladly run with ya.
